Dream

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N) wake up!"  -  I heard a voice after I felt someone shaking my arm. I let out a groan as I began to open up my eyes slowly and clear my vision. Soon enough, I see Mikey with a smile on his face, calling my name. In confusion, I spoke.

"Mikey?" - My words were interrupted by his, filled with joy and excitement.

"(Y/N), quick! Raphie is waking up!"  - His baby blue eyes glimmered as he spoke to me. But his words got me confused, and just as I was about to ask, he grabbed my hand and started pulling me out of the room I was in.

Meanwhile I kept thinking; I must've fell asleep, right? So Raph really didn't wake up until now? Weird, I don't even remember falling asleep. I must've been tired. Then if that was all a dream, were Leo's words a part of it too? Ugh, I just don't know! But maybe the answer just awaits behind that laboratory door. It can't be a dream, it was too real to be a dream! Raph's touch, I felt it. I really did. Damn it.

I quiet down my thoughts as Mikey pushes the door open.

And there, I see him...

And I see him for real! He's not immobile or empty or asleep; in fact, he is wide awake! And there's no blood dripping down his body! I came to a thought that, if the experience a couple of minutes before was a dream, then this surely must be a reality, and that Raph is really awake. I waste no moment to approach him and give him a hug, careful about his wounds of course. My eyes shone from joy and relief that he is finally here, in front of me, alive and safe. I smiled warmly, not wanting to let him go just yet. Oh, how I missed him so so so much! I thought that we are not going to be able to make it through with so many enemies on our tails, but yet here we are. All of us! This is more than a relief that, after all this time, I am able to hold my lover in my arms, and be truly happy as long as he is here.

"Raph! You finally woke up!"

"Ugh.." - he murmured in a raspy tone.

"How do you feel? Are you alright?" - I say as I face him, his skin still slightly pale and the bruises on his face weren't disappearing just yet. But yet I smile, showing positivity in my actions to help others ease their anxiety. 

He didn't return the hug, but I didn't make much of it. Maybe he still didn't get to his senses. He looked at me with an expression I can't quite describe; it was a mixture of confusion and discomfort, which kind of confused me as well.

He never looked at me with those kind of eyes before...

"Oh, uh, sorry. Maybe I should give you space to talk first." - I quickly say curving my lips to form a nervous smile, taking a few steps away from him.

"I'm...good, I guess?" - Raph said - "W-What happened?"

"Shredder was mind controlling you." - I gave space for the brainiac to speak - "But I managed to get the mind control worm out of your head."

"Gross!" - The dark-skinned turtle answered - "Thanks anyway, Don."

"So you don't remember anything else that happened?" - The leader in blue asked in concern.

"Sorta, or maybe I'll remember once I get rid of this stupid headache first." - He said rubbing his head in the same way he did in my dream; making small circles.

"Then we will give you some time to rest. Here." - Donnie said as he offered his brother some painkillers and a glass of water that Raph, shortly after, used. He thanked him as the gap in Don's teeth could be seen when he gifted his brother with a smile.

"Call us if you need something." - Leo joined in the conversation before starting to exit the lab with Mikey.

"I can stay here and keep an eye on him." - I replied, glancing at Donatello. He nodded in approval of my request - "Inform us of any changes."

After a quick nod, he was gone from the laboratory with the others. By the time I looked back at Raph, he was already laying down on the lab bed, resting his head on the pillow. I pulled up a chair and sat beside his bed, looking at him. I grabbed his hand with a smile and whispered softly.

"I'm so glad you're fine, Raphael. We were all worried sick. But I guess we shall worry no longer." - I gifted my lover with a smile - "Now we don't ever have to be apart, and we will be prepared for any circumstance that might find us. Don't you believe it too?" - I caressed his arm gently, careful not to hurt him - "I love you so much, and you perfectly know it. Don't you, Raph? Don't you?"

With a quick movement, I felt him snatch his arm away from me. My eyes travel away to meet his emerald green ones, as he spoke in a raspy, yet a confused tone:

"Who are you..?"
