Dahlia's POV

"Come on Goldberg" I whined

"At least try and block it" Charlie asked

"I'm tired of chasing the puck" Terry mumbled

"Stop it, you're gonna hit me" Goldberg cried protecting himself from the shots

"Goldberg how many times do we have to tell you" I yelled slightly

"You're the goalie it's supposed to hit you" Charlie finished for me

"Doesn't that sound crazy to anyone else" Goldberg threw his arms in the air.

I rolled my eyes and skated away from the stupidity and over to connie.

"Sup girlie" I asked

"Nothing much how about you" She smiled

"I'm so hungry. I've got a plate of Mama B's famous chicken fettuccine alfredo and its calling me" I whimpered rubbing my stomach.

"Hey what the big deal here" Connie yelled pointing to a limo driving onto the ice.

"What the hell" I mumbled furrowing my eyebrows

Everyone huddled into a clump beside the vehicle. A man opened the door and stepped out.

"You've got to be shitting me"

"Is that your-" I cut connie off

"Dad, yeah" I sighed

"Yo man, you're in the wrong hood. This is my domain, a drug free zone, you feel me. We ain't buying nothing." Jesse tried to smooth talk

"I'm feeling nice today. Imma let you off with a warning. So get your sorry vanilla booty out of here before we be using your eye balls as hockey pucks" He finished.

A chorus of yeahs resounded from the group.

"Thanks bro, but I'm not leaving till I take care of business" He then reached in his coat pocket.

Everyone gasped and backed up. Dad smirked and pulled out a piece of paper. I rolled my eyes as everyone let out a breath of relief.

"District 5 peewee hockey team, I'm your new coach Gordon Bombay" Everyone looked at me and then back to him and started laughing

"Yeah right " Jesse smirked

"Afraid so dude. Here's the roster.
Averman, Dave
Bombay, Dahlia
Conway, Charlie
Hall, Jesse
Hall, Terry" He listed

"Oh shit he is the coach" someone said

"Heres the long short of it. I hate hockey and I dont like kids" He let out

"Even your own kid" I mumbled crossing my arms

"That supposed to be a pep talk" Peter chuckled

"Listen I'm sure this will be a real bonding experience. Maybe one of you will write about it in jail. There a goalie?" He asked

"Only for a little while. I'm moving back to Philly" Goldberf announced

"Thank you for sharing" Dad said sarcastically

"Get on the ice let me see what you can do"

"Just to let you know we suck" Averman told him

I dropped the puck and skated away. They all started falling over and sliding. Connie and I skated over to dad.

"Hi coach I'm Connie" She smiled

"Hi dad it's your kid who you for got to mention to the fact that you got a new car and are now coaching hockey" I said sarcastically
