I started writing this at 2 am and I stayed up till 5 am last night
Long story short I'm not getting much sleep tonight either. But my god I was literally about to moan at how good Christopher Jackson was singing in this song from Hamilton

"Who was that?" Kellin asked when Vic had returned.

Vic shrugged. "Old friend." The memories couldn't stop, the pain couldn't stop. He continued eating his food in silence, Kellin following suit, but not long before he finished Vic broke the silence. "Let's go somewhere."

Kellin looked up, surprised. Vic never went outside to do something unless it was school, groceries, or Kellin forcing him to get out of the house for his weekly socializing.

"Where is it you wanna go?"

Vic shrugged. "Somewhere. Anywhere. Where do you recommend?"

Kellin thought. "My friends hosting a party tonight-"

Vic groaned. "Party?"

"You said you wanted to do something."

"Touché, what time?"

"Um, I think it starts around seven or eight?" Kellin checked his watch that read eleven AM.

"Okay, so tonight. How bout the rest of the day? Anything?" Vic pressed.

Surprised again. A party was already highly uncommon for Vic, and extinct until know for himself to ask to go to, but more? In the same day?

"Are you okay?" Kellin asked. "Did the extroverts poison you or something?"

Vic chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, totally. I just want to get out, do something. So?"

Thinking, Kellin responded, "We could go to the mall."

"Okay." Vic got up almost immediately after, putting his empty plate in the sink and walking to grab his things.

Kellin drove. This time Vic didn't listen to music, he sat in silence with the other boy thinking until they arrived.

Ronnie came back. Of all people, that dick came back to say sorry?

Vic sighed, repositioning himself in the seat and running a hand through his hair anxiously.

"You alright?" Kellin asked, glancing at him.

Vic nodded. "Just peachy," he mumbled.

"That guy, what did he come to apologize for? Why were you so angry?" Kellin asked.

Vic shrugged, still staring out the window. "He um.. He was an old friend, and said some things to me back in high school. Him and.. this girl, did a lot of shit. I guess I just don't wanna put up with his bullshit."

"You two were close though," Kellin pointed out.

Vic glanced at him. "Why would you say that?"

"Because it just.. makes sense I guess," Kellin shrugged.

Vic sighed and continued to stare out the window. They sat in silence the rest of the ride till they reached the mall.

"The Mall of America?" Vic questioned.

"What's wrong with MOA? Let's go, I spent my sixth grade graduation here."

Vic snorted. "And that makes this place special to you?"

Kellin put a hand to his heart, offended. "This place is a sacred building of my memories!" He exclaimed. "I was but a young fetus when I walked these doors, my last day of sixth grade, and I saw pride advertisements."
