Ch. 5

I was walking down the hallway with Roshaun and Alvaro right next to me. It was time for lunch and the only thing they had was pizza, so I didn't eat anything.

"(Y/n) you need to eat dude." I looked at Alvaro waving the piece of pizza in my face.

I feel like the only junk I have been eating is pizza and I wanted throw up at the look of it.

"I'm going to go to the library" I stood up from the table and walked away without letting them answer me.

The library was supposed to be a quiet place until they started adding things for the kids to do which made it into a loud playground. My only hope in taking a nap was going to the farthest book shelf in the back.

I was walking and looking in between each other shelf when I saw him.

Jake and his friends were watching videos on their computers or were just on their phones but they were all laughing with each other.

I glanced at them once more and saw another familiar face, it was Sebastian from last night.

He looked at me too and smiled a very small smile. He wasn't laughing with them that much, mostly observing. And Jake on the other hand was the loudest one out of all of them, while the other boys laughed along with his jokes.

I walked a couple shelves and finally made it to the back. I sat against the book shelf and closed my eyes until someone tapped me on the shoulder.

"Hey." I opened my eyes to see Alvaro sitting next to me.

"Hey"

"What's up with you? Ever since yesterday you've been off." Alvaro looked at me sternly.

"Nothing it's just I'm tired." I put my head back on the shelf.

"Mm okay sure." He said.

"Alvaro?" I looked over at him.

"What's up?"

"Just trust me when I tell you I'm okay."

He nodded and tapped my knee, "Well you take your nap, I'm going to go find Roshaun."

While he was getting up Jake and his friends were walking towards where we were at.

But Alvaro didn't notice so he kept walking away.

I put my head back to maybe get a five minute nap in when someone lightly nudged my leg, "Hey move."

I looked up at him and then went back to closing my eyes.

"Dude I said move!" He grabbed my arm and lifted me to my feet.

"Elijah, what the hell are you doing?"

I looked up to see Jake, Sebastian, and their other friends standing there.

I yanked my arm from his grip and started to walk away when Sebastian grabbed my arm.

"Where are you going?" He was smiling at me like everything was all good.

"I'm leaving." I said it sternly. I didn't see Sebastian to be the one to hang out with a group like that.

"Yo (y/n)!" A boy with black wavy looking hair yelled at me.

"It seems that yesterday you turned down the opportunity to hook up with my man Jake over here."

"And? What's the problem?"

"Well you see that just isn't right, you hurt his feelings." He looked at me fake sad and looked back at Jake who was just laughing.

"You see I don't hoe around, so if your horny ass want someone who wants your little shrimps then count me out of it."

"Yo (y/n) chill." Sebastian was trying to calm me down but I wasn't even mad it was highly expected from this type of group.

"Don't even talk to me, I'm out." I flipped them off and walked away.

I was laying on my bed when I heard my doorbell go off.

I ran down the stairs and then opened the door too see Sebastian standing in front of me.

"Dude just go home." I was closing the door when he held it open with his hand.

"Look I need to explain (y/n)"

I just walked over to the kitchen and he followed closing the door behind him.

"Look it's just the guys don't know."

"About what?" I looked at him confused.

"When we were at the bridge, that night I wanted to die, but I didn't tell the boys anything about that. I don't need them to think I'm a bitch, you know? And when I saw you at the bridge I knew that I would be able to have someone to relate to, you're all I have right now to talk about this stuff. The guys know me as tough, the hoe, the main guy." He laughed awkwardly at the end.

"Alright." He looked at me confused again.

"Alright?"

"Yeah, it's just sad you act like you don't know me. But it's whatever it's chill now, I don't like holding grudges. Plus I've know most of those guys since I was little they know how I am, they're just mad that I don't give them that attention." I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Cool well how about—" the door bell interrupted him.

"Come in!!" I yelled.

Walked in was Jake. Sebastian saw my face go serious. "I'm gonna go, you guys  can fix what ever is going on here."

I waved goodbye to him and looked at Jake.

"(Y/n) listen to me."

"I am." I was looking at the ground which made him come up to me and lift my chin with his hand.

"I'm truly sorry, I just did it because that's what all the guys do when they meet someone they're actually interested in."

"That's weird, you know?"

"I know and when I realized you wouldn't do anything, then I wanted you more." He was saying straight into my eyes.

"Please (y/n)" He grabbed my waist and looked at me. "I'm so sorry." He hugged me and kissed the top my head.

"Like I told Sebastian, don't worry about it. I don't hold grudges. But ask next time." I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Don't worry I'll even ask to just talk."

"Alright" He hugged me again and then layed down on the sofa.

"So you still wanna tutor me?"

"Yea I did promise your uncle. But we need to start to study something different, something you understand."

"Wait what? So what are you thinking about?" He was looking me up and down.

"Stupid, I'm  talking school related. You're really messed up in the head." I laughed.

He came up behind me and hugged me, "Are you sureeee?" He kissed my shoulder and I felt him smile on my skin.

"You need to ask Jake, you're on strike two." I turned around and he gave me a shocked look.

"What I thought I only had one."

"You just caused your second one." He brushed back his hair and looked at me.

"Alright alright. I understand."

"Okay get your books from my room and we can start studying."

"Okay beautiful."
