Ch. 4

Y/N POV

The sun was shining in my face and I woke up with the alarm ringing in my ear.

It was 10:50, meaning I was late for school.

"Shit shit shit." I was going crazy trying to get my jeans on quick, I grabbed a random shirt from my drawer and put it on.

I raced to the restroom, did my necessities, and then raced down stairs and grabbed my bag.

I checked the clock again it was already 11:15. I would be in lunch right now, so I grabbed the keys to the car and zoomed out of there.

When I got to the school I saw Alvaro and Roshaun hanging around outside, " Hey dudes."

"Where have you been? You missed so much." Alvaro stood up from the bench he was sitting at and looked at me straight in the eyes.

"Chill this is my first time being late, I'll be fine." I sat next to Roshaun and grabbed half of the sandwich that he had.

"What were you doing last night?" Alvaro chilled his temper down and sat next to me.

" I had to tutor, remember?" I looked up at the blue happy sky that mocked me everyday of my life.

"Oh yea, so how did it go?"

I was thinking of what to say, I couldn't just say " oh yea it was great we almost kissed and now we're cool." Alvaro world straight up kill me.

"It was chill." That's all I said but I could tell they were thinking much more.

They both nodded and we just all looked at each and laughed. I gave Alvaro the rest of my half and then we just started to talk about their friends in New Jersey.

"Okay you have to move the solution to the other side." It was already after school and Jake was studying at my house again.

"(Y/n) I don't get it. Can we just take a break? This is stressful." He got up from my bed and sat at my desk.

To be honest, I didn't want to study anymore either. I was tried and I had a million things I had to catch up on because I missed a meeting in third period.

"Yea I'm tired too." I laid down on my bed and covered myself with my blanket.

"Wait you're going to sleep? That's not fair." He looked at my with puppy dog eyes and looked at my bed.

"Here you can lay down." I got up from my bed and pushed him towards it.

"It'll be better if you lay in here with me." He laughed.

"You're crazy. I'm gonna go get something real quick from the kitchen." I went down stairs to get a water bottle because my head was pounding. I looked inside the fridge and checked to see what I was gonna eat for dinner.

When I turned around Jake was standing at the bottom of the stairs. "Geez Jake you freaking scared me. I didn't even hear you." He didn't say anything he just walked up to me and looked at me.

" what are you doing?" I looked down and then looked back up at him.

"I lied to you."

"What do you mean?"

He kept getting closer and closer as he would talk.
