Disappearing Act [Vkook/Taekook]

25. Silver and Gold

Jungkook sits at his desk staring blankly at the surface as orange light shines through his window signaling it's almost sunset.

The image of v's face plays in his mind without delay.

*ding*

He looks down at his phone breaking his concentration and opens it.

*V*

V: open the door

Jungkook furrows his eyebrows in confusion.

"What's he doing here?"

He stands up walking out of his room to the front door.

Before opening the door he stands in front of it, taking a deep breath.

He opens it.

The door reveals V standing there with his back to Jungkook. Once he hears the door open he flips around and faces Jungkook smiling a little.

"I honestly thought you'd ignore the text and leave me out here."

Jungkook lets out a dry chuckle, still shocked that he's there.

"I don't think I could do that."

" that's what I thought."

They both chuckle and then fall silent

Taehyung looks down at Jungkooks wrist and smiles softly.
" You're wearing the bracelet still."

Jungkook looks at his own wrist nodding and then looks at V's.

"So are you"

Taehyung nods looking at his own wrist.

"I was um- I wanted to talk. If that's okay."

Jungkook tenses up holding the door knob a little tighter.

"..talk?"

V nods looking back at him.

Jungkook looks down at his feet looking for an excuse but can't think of one. Instead, he steps aside making room for V to walk in.

V walks through brushing past Jungkook.

"You can go to my room if you want, Im gonna go get something."

V nods and begins heading up as Jungkook heads for the kitchen internally cursing.

~Fuck fuck fuck. Why is my heart beating so fast. Stop beating so fast...I think I'm having a heart attack.~

He grabs two water bottles from the fridge and begins making his way back to his room.

~You're fine. Just keep it cool. No need to worry.~

He takes a deep breath as he gets closer but immediately freezes.

~wHAT DO I SAY?!~

He closes his eyes and puts his hands on his head but immediately regrets it when the cold water bottles touch his forehead.
