Disappearing Act [Vkook/Taekook]

24. Surprises

Jungkook taps the cold desk, slowly zoning out as class drags on. His mind starts to play out the script he's slowly working on for when he calls about getting Max's order.

~Start off with "Hello, I'd like one thing of drugs please." Right? No that sounds dumb. What about "Hi I was wondering what the order sizes were for drugs." No that's somehow worse 'order sizes'? God... what am I even supposed to say?!~

He internally groans and drops his head onto his desk slowly becoming more and more nervous as the day goes on.

As Yoongi and Taehyung wait in the car outside of a customers house Yoongi tries to create small talk.

"So about Jim."

Taehyung furrows his eyebrows and turns his head to look at Yoongi.

"Jim?"

Yoongi nods, "that's that kids friend right? The one that was with him outside your school."

Tae shakes his head looking out the window, "it's Jin and yeah that's his friend. What about him?"

"You still gonna tell him about you?"

V sighs resting his head back.

"I have to. It's not like I have a choice. If I wanna keep Jungkook safe... and everyone else of course. I don't want to tell him."

"How are you gonna do it?"

Taehyung shrugs, " I don't know. I'm not sure whether to tell him about it in disguise or tell him as me. I don't want to make things worse hyung."

Yoongi nods looking out his window.

"I dont think you will. You're a smart kid V. You've just made some mistakes but that's not you. You can't... let them get the best of you. Whatever you do I'm sure it'll work out. I know it's hard when all you do is doubt yourself but even now you have to trust yourself."

Taehyung starts to feel nervous at Yoongis sudden heart-felt words.

"But what if it doesn't?"

Yoongi looks at him and pats his shoulder, "I'm sure you'll make it."

V smiles sadly at him and nods.

"But like if you were to input your opinion what would you say? Tell him I know about it or tell him I'm a part of it."

Yoongi sighs and thinks.

"I think that's up to you. However much you trust them and yourself. It's not an easy decisions and neither is it right but they're the best options so far. Plus, it's best if it comes from you since they trust you."

"Trusted."

Yoongi looks at him confused.

"What do you mean?"

V shakes his head and takes another breath.

"It's nothing. Thanks hyung. I usually talk to Hoseok about this stuff but I'll thank you."

Yoongi nods.

"You know you can tell me anything V."

Taehyung nods not wanting to make eye contact, "yeah. I know."

Yoongi nods and looks over at the house.

"Okay let's go over and then go to the last stop."

Taehyung sits up stretching a bit.

"Yup."

"Jungkook are you sure you don't need help with anything?  If you want we can just go together."
