you and calum had just gotten together three months ago. you met each other because of your older brother luke hemmings. luke was going over to the 5sos house, and you followed. calum happened to be there, and you immediately clicked. calum asked you out a month later.

but luke specifically said not to date any of his friends, and you respected that. until you met calum.

you had kept your relationship with calum a secret, but that was becoming harder to do. you wanted to spend more and more time together with him, and luke was becoming more and more suspicious.

"why can't we tell him?" calum asked one night, as you two were sitting on the couch in the 5sos house.

"he'll kill you. and me." you said, looking over at him.

your legs were draped over his, and you both were on your phones, simultaneously watching tv.

"so what? it's not his place to say who you can and can't date." calum argued, placing his free hand on your calf.

"i know, but i've been lying to him for three months. tonight, i told him i was going out to eat with crystal. and i'm obviously not."

"if he gets mad, what's the worst he can do? yell at you?" calum scoffed. you just rolled your eyes.

"he's my older brother. just lying to him hurts me."

"then stop." calum said, looking into your eyes.

"i don't know cal." you placed your hand on your temple. luke would get mad, no doubt about that.

dating his best friend was one thing. lying about it was a whole other story.

"come on. i'll sit down with you. we can both tell him together." he pleaded.

"if this goes horribly wrong, i'm going to kill you."

today was the day you were going to tell luke you had been lying to him for three months.

you were over at the 5sos house, and michael was supposed to be bringing luke over. he didn't know you were telling him anything.

you were on the couch leaning on calum when the door opened. you immediately sat up, and looked over at the door, and saw luke walking in.

"hey lil sis. whatcha doing here?" he smiled, placing his keys on the counter.

"just talking with calum." you smiled, putting your head on calum's shoulder, hoping this would hint something.

"hey luke, can we talk to you?" calum asked, craning his neck to look at luke.

"yea sure." luke said, walking over and sitting down on the chair that was facing you.

you lifted your head off of calum and cleared your throat, "promise you won't kill me?"

"why would i kill you?" luke laughed, taking off his jacket that was over his hoodie.

"well, i - we've been lying to you."  you said, fiddling with your fingers.

"lying? about what?" luke's smile faded.

"well, we've been hiding something from you. for about three months." calum spoke up for you.

luke ruffled his eyebrows, "three months? about what? what could be worth hiding from me for three months?"

luke was starting to get suspicious. calum could tell you were getting nervous, so he grabbed your hand. luke noticed.

"woah, wait, are you two-" luke raised his eyebrows.

"yea. we are." you looked down, waiting for luke to get mad.

"so you've been hiding this from me? why?" luke asked, standing up.

"you specifically told me not to date any of your friends. but i did anyway. i knew you would get mad, so i had to hide it from you. but i couldn't take it anymore. i couldn't just keep lying to my older brother. i'm sorry luke." you said, feeling terrible. a tear started to roll down your cheek, but you wiped it off with your free hand.

you looked up to see luke smiling. you ruffled your eyebrows, "what?"

"you guys are horrible at hiding stuff." luke smirked, sitting back down.

"wait, you knew?" scoffed, running his hand across his forehead.

"well yea. crystal told me." luke smiled.

"you're horrible ." you smiled.
