Dear Auntie Duchess,
Hogwarts is truly beautiful and the food was delicious! The Sorting Hat nearly put me in Gryffindor but it chose Slytherin (Thank Godric).I haven't exactly made any friends yet but there's only one person I guess I can tolerate and she's from the Greengrass family. I also ran into Draco Malfoy but we started fighting at dinner, boys are so annoying but I think I'll enjoy teasing him.
Lots of love,
Artemis

The morning went by quickly and though Artemis's dorm changed silently, there was no doubt they were excited no matter how hard they tried hiding it.
Artemis had gotten through the morning without having to make conversation for which she was grateful for.
Not wanting to look like a complete loner, Artemis made her way down to the Great Hall with Pansy and stuck next to her like glue. It was a small price to pay to make sure her first impression of the school wasn't pathetic.
As she passed the tables, there were many whispers among the students.
"There, look."
"Where?"
"Next to the tall kid with red hair."
"Wearing the glasses?"
"Did you see his scar?"
How could Artemis forget? A new celebrity was attending Hogwarts; A very mediocre celebrity.
Poor Potter was sitting awkwardly at the Gryffindor table as one of the Weasley kids tried to console him. Potter had a weird slouch when he sat, making the Weasley boy tower over him even though he was sitting.
"It's just a scar, who cares?" Artemis mumbled as she checked her times table.
"You're right and you should say it louder." Pansy said. "You would think he'd be a bit more grateful for his fame, don't you think? I mean if it were me, I'd be quite happy to be that popular."
Artemis could see where Pansy was coming from, being a limelight lover herself, but she didn't think Harry Potter was the good type of popular.
They'd already been at Hogwarts for not even twenty four hours and yet this twig of a boy was getting looked at as if he were some animal in the zoo. The bell rang loudly and everyone was off to class.
"I have History of Magic, what about you?" Pansy said, helicoptering over Artemis's shoulder to read.
Artemis scooted away and folded her times table into her bag. "Er... Transfiguration with McGonagall."
