It was a foggy October afternoon. The trees on the castle grounds were starting to turn a radiant colour of sunset orange. Artemis admired the trees every day as she passed the courtyard to get to Lockheart's class.

In spite herself, Artemis was actually looking forward to Lockheart's class. Not because she learned valuable teachings, but because she found Lockheart's narcissism to be entertaining.

Friday's were dreadful though.

The boys of the class collectively groaned when they saw a paper on their desk with shiny golden letters.

Every Friday, Lockheart gave the students a test. Not about what they had been learning (which was barely anything at all) but about Gilderoy Lockheart himself. Artemis took her seat next to Pansy who was sitting up straight, eyes glistening at the Professor.

"Now!" Lockheart said loudly. "You all know that I assigned you to read chapters 10 through 14 in my book Holidays with Hags. This will be a little quiz on whether or not you did your homework!"

Artemis stared at the paper disgustingly. It took quite a bit of persuading from Pansy and Millicent to read the book.

The only thing that was even slightly convincing about their argument was: "If you don't read it, you'll fail the class!" Artemis read and annotated almost all of Lockheart's books that night.

"You have thirty minutes! Begin!" Lockheart announced, swishing his cape dramatically behind him.

Artemis picked up her quill and slouched on her side. She could hear the scoffs and disagreement along the boys in the class.

How much she wished she wasn't so skittish about approaching people first then she could finally get to rant about how unbelievable Lockheart was.

"What did Lockheart do to persuade the young witch into surrender?" Artemis mouthed. She looked at the answers and twisted her face.

"A. He stunned her and gave her a kiss on the head

B. He begged for her to surrender and charmed her with his beautiful, persuasive smile

C. He offered to start a life with her

D. He removed the curse that was brought upon the poor girl with a simple spell"

Artemis looked at the paper reproachfully and looked at Lockheart who was exchanging smiles with his full body portrait.

She hesitantly circled 'D' and carried on with the next few questions. She was fifth to finish and when she handed her paper to Lockheart, he scanned the paper.

"Well, well, well! Someone has been studying hard!" Lockheart announced proudly. Artemis felt her face heat up.

"Miss Granger isn't the only one who scored a perfect score! It seems as if Miss Krii has also received a fantastic grade— Good girl! Take ten points to Slytherin!" He beamed.
