Flint wasn't too delighted with Draco after the match; He didn't wait until the team gathered in the common room and instead was fuming with the rest of the sixth and seventh years a corridor over way to the Slytherin dungeons. He seized Draco by the sleeve and pulled him away.
"THE SNITCH WAS RIGHT ABOVE YOUR HEAD, MALFOY!" Flint bellowed, his deep voice echoing through the halls, making the windows rattle.
"I DIDN'T SEE--" Draco started.
"I'M WELL AWARE YOU COULDN'T!" Flint interrupted harshly, "Your father's bribery might've been enough to persuade me at first but don't you think for a second I can't kick you off the second you step your toe out of line."
"There was a rogue Bludger how do you expect me to find the stupid Snitch when it almost smashed my face in?" Draco roared. It was almost pathetic trying to see him stand up for himself against Flint who was a head taller than him.
"If you can find time to taunt Potter, you can find time to look for the Snitch." Flint said slowly.
Draco's usual haughty smile had been wiped and replaced with pursed lips and a reddening face. His fists were in his pockets and he seemed to be chewing on the inside of his cheek, trying to find something slick to say back to Flint.
Artemis prayed he didn't say more otherwise he'd for sure be kicked off.
But he didn't.
Flint stomped away with his friends at his heels, all of them sneaking back glances of disappointment at Draco, who was still in shock and was basically glued to the floor to take in Flint's words.
"Malfoy, are--" Artemis began.
"Leave me alone, Krii. You're always trailing around me! Go do something by yourself for a change or are you just so helpless that you always need someone to babysit you?" Draco snarled.
"Don't you get smart with me, Draco Malfoy! You lost a game! So what? You'll still get to play!" Artemis snapped back. She'd be damned if she ever let a boy talk to her like that.
"This was the first game of the season! I don't expect you of all people to understand! You don't even play!" Draco said.
"You're such a prat, Malfoy. You better hope I don't ask Flint to take you off the team myself!" Artemis had gotten the final word before she mimicked Flint's stomping towards the common room. "And I'll be expecting your apology!"

The next few days were not in the Gryffindors' favour; One of their own had been petrified the night after the first Quidditch match. Perhaps it had been their karma for stealing the Snitch but it was highly unlikely.
Hogwarts wasn't safe for anyone anymore.
"I didn't hear any names, just that it was a Gryffindor." Zabini informed them the morning after the match.
