~ Gabriella's POV ~

"How does it feel?"

Gio let out a laugh when I leaned back into the leather seat, letting out a sigh. "Amazing. You know this thing has heated seats?"

He nodded his head as I pulled up to the house, stopping at the tall gate to put the code in. As we drove into the driveway, I was busy listening to Giovanni telling me the specs of the car when I noticed a familiar jet black Maserati on the driveway.

"You know him?" My attention was taken away from the car as I turned to look at Gio who was staring at me with an odd look.

"Yeah...why? Do you?" Gio let out a sigh, his eyes focused on the car across from us, before he turned his head to look at me again. "Yeah, he trains at my gym."

"Oh...small world." Gio watched me as I took off my seatbelt, but just as my hand reached out to open the door, he stopped me. "Gabriella, how well do you know him?"

I turned to face him again, confused at his apparent concern. "Well enough, why? Is something wrong with him?"

He maintained eye contact with me for a moment before he let out a sigh and shook his head. "It doesn't matter."

Before I could try and stop him from leaving he got out of my car, making his way into the house while eyeing up Matteo's car. I watched him go inside before I got out the car, making my way over to Matteo who was now standing outside his car by the drivers side.

"Is this yours?" I followed his gaze, turning to look at the brand new silver Mercedes behind me, before I turned to look at him again.

"Yeah...I think my dad is having a midlife crisis or something. He paid for it." Matteo rose his eyebrows in surprise before looking at the car, nodding in approval. "Well it was a good choice."

I gave him a small smile, thanking him as I did, before it fell awkwardly silent. I had absolutely no clue what to say to him.

I averted my gaze down to my purse that I was holding, fiddling with a small metal chain attached to it.

"I'm sorry. For what happened this morning." I lifted my head to look at him as he continued. "We spoke while you were taking a shower, I wasn't just being like that because I felt like it. I did have a reason. I just didn't feel like explaining it after she left, I was already pissed off."

"Well next time don't ignore me. You know you can tell me anything."

He nodded his head and reached out, taking my hand in his. "I know, I just wasn't in the mood to talk, but I should have still taken you to work, I'm sorry-"

"It's okay. Honestly it's fine, as long as you're good, I didn't like seeing you like that. You're usually so...happy." He laughed at my choice of the word happy before pulling me in for a hug.

"Thanks Gabby." I wrapped my arms around him, inhaling his scent as we stood there for a moment before I eventually pulled away from him.

"Do you want to come inside? You can tell me what got your panties in a twist this morning." He rolled his eyes at my words before nodding and placing his hand on my lower back, pushing me in the direction of my front door.

"Wow you're such a gentleman." I started walking inside as he followed close behind me, leaning in close to me to whisper something in my ear. "Oh, you have no idea baby."

I swear I felt shivers run down my spine at the way his words rolled of his tongue. I could feel his breath on my neck as he spoke, before he moved away, probably with that stupid smug smirk on his face.
