~ Gabriella's POV ~
"You hit like a girl."
"I am a girl!"
Giovanni rolled his eyes at me, holding the punching pads out in front of me for me to hit again. Keeping my hands up, I concentrated on the two red squares before I punched both of them again five times each.
We'd been at this for the last twenty minutes but today I just couldn't seem to get any of it right. Everything Giovanni had been teaching me over the last six months had just gone out of my head. It was all about power and not technique anymore.
"I thought you said you were in the mood for this?"
"I am Gio, you told me this is a good way to let off steam. Aren't you supposed to help me calm down, not get me even more annoyed?" I narrowed my eyes at him, gesturing with my hand for him to lift the pads up again but instead he just shook his head.
"I'm not going to help you train if you're angry Gabriella. Your technique is all over the place, you're not concentrating."
"I'm not angry. Hurry up." Once again I gestured for him to put the pads up as I lifted my gloved hands, but dropped them when he just walked away from me. I watched as he walked to the edge of the boxing ring putting the pads down on the floor.
"Giovanni what are you doing?"
"I told you, I'm not going to help you train. Go home and calm down." I let out a scoff as I walked towards him while he just took his phone out of his pocket, diverting his attention away from and to that instead.
"You always come here to calm down and now you're not allowing me to do the same?"
When he didn't answer me because he was blatantly ignoring me I shook my head and undid the gloves. Slipping them off I tossed them on the floor by his feet causing him to look up at me.
"Some brother you are." He narrowed his eyes at me before stepping over the gloves and coming towards me. He was trying to keep his voice down as we spoke since there were still people in his gym, not that it mattered much since they probably couldn't hear us it was so big.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean? I never train anyone who is angry the way you are. It's not good for you."
"I'm your sister! You could at least try and help me work through it instead of sending me on my way like some stranger who doesn't give a damn about me."
"I do give a damn about you which is why I'm doing that. Your anger isn't directed at the pads it's directed at Matteo so go and sort your problem out with him. This will only help for a few seconds, nothing longer."
"How do you know Matteo-"
"Because he's been working out here everyday at 6am for the past few weeks but he looks exhausted. It's obvious something has happened between you two, I've never seen him like this."
With that he walked away from me and got out the ring, going off somewhere else while leaving me standing there watching after him.
I let out a frustrated sigh before picking up my water bottle and my phone which I'd left on the floor to the side.Isn't it funny how people are supposed to leave the gym feeling better and instead I left feeling even worse? I had all this pent up anger and frustration inside me and there was no way I could get it out.
After we left Jordan's house yesterday I asked Matteo to take me home instead of going back to his house and for the first time ever he didn't even bother to try and convince me just to come back with him. He silently obeyed and once we got there he drove away the second I got out of his car.
