~ Matteo's POV ~

I have a freaking stupid brother.

If there was a word stronger than stupid I would use that but I really couldn't think of one.

"What the hell is wrong with you?"

"What? What did I do?" I rolled my eyes when Adrian spoke in an offended tone.

"Ten grand? What the hell am I going to do with ten grand in prison Adrian?"

"I thought you might need it." This time I let out a groan as I leaned against the wall that the phone was connected to.

"They have a limit of a thousand euros Adrian, so it didn't work. None of that money went into the account yesterday." It fell silent for a moment before he spoke.

"Oh, crap. Sorry."

"You're sorry? The Spanish guys made breakfast today Adrian, I missed out on the churros. Instead I had sludge, freaking sludge." Even though he clearly tried to cover up the sound I could hear him laughing on the phone which just annoyed me even more.

"Sorry, I'll fix it. You'll get your churros tomorrow." Of course I rolled my eyes at this. He clearly doesn't know how shit works around here.

"Tomorrow is just normal damn food Adrian. No churros."

After he finally finished laughing at what he called 'my churro tantrum' we started discussing my trial. He updated me on everything he was doing with my lawyers which was so far just trying to find out as much as they could about what the prosecution has against me.

He said that once they'd done that they could find out who was setting me up since that part was obvious to him too. When he found out this was all about tax evasion, he was just confused as hell. Like I said, that was something we just never would get caught over.

"You're like Al Capone. They got him on tax evasion too."

"Yeah but he was notorious, he had street cred. No one knows who I am in here." Just as I said this someone coughed behind me, indicating that he wanted the phone. All I did was send him a glare before I turned my attention back to Adrian.

"I need to go. I'll call you tomorrow, I need to talk to you about Gabby."

"What about her?" The guy started making noises behind me again when I was about to speak and honestly I had to stop myself from turning around and punching him in the face.

I usually had a very short temper but being in here just made everything worse.

"I would tell you but an impatient son of a bitch behind me is starting to get on my last nerve."

All Adrian did was laugh before he mumbled a goodbye and hung up. When I put the phone down I sent him a harsh glare as I walked past the guy but he didn't even care.

After that phone call I walked all the way back to my cell expecting to see Adamo and Luca there but instead I found Marco sitting with two other guys. One was the guy who followed him into the cell yesterday when he hit Luca and the other I'd never met before.

The way they looked at me when I walked in told me that they were in fact waiting for me.

"Matteo De Mancuso." I rose an eyebrow at Marco when he stated my full name, something I hadn't told anyone in here.

"You're in here awaiting trial for tax evasion charges. You're a multimillionaire, you own multiple businesses and you've been deemed as 'dangerous' by the court." As he spoke I leaned against the wall of the cell by the door, nodding my head as he listed off his facts.
