~ Matteo's POV ~

I hadn't even opened my eyes yet before the sharp pain struck through my head causing me to let out a pained groan.

Slowly my eyes fluttered open, and thankfully the curtains were closed so I didn't have to deal with the morning sunlight shining into my room.

"Damn." My eyes only closed again within seconds when another pain shot through my head.

"Take the pills." The second I heard a familiar voice next to me I turned to see Gabriella lying next to me with her eyes closed. She didn't see the confused expression on my face at her presence before I turned to look at the pills and glass of water left on my nightstand.

She freaking hated me and yet she still managed to find it in her to take care of me.

She really was too good for me.

Using every bit of strength inside me I lifted myself up slightly off the bed and put both the Advil pills in my mouth, drinking the water to wash them down before dropping back down on my bed.

I must have fallen asleep again because the next time I opened my eyes, Gabriella was sitting up against the headboard staring at her phone.

"How's your head?" I let out a sigh and closed my eyes again. "Fine."

It fell silent again while I tried to salvage the memories from last night to explain why Gabriella was here but all I could remember was drinking a hell of a lot.

That's before it all went blank.

"What are you doing here?" When I turned to look at her she didn't even bother looking away from her phone as she continued to type away. She was probably messaging Dean.

Stupid freaking Dean.

"Taking care of you. You should probably drink some water if you want that dull headache to stop."

When I gave her a weird look she finally looked at me before explaining how she knew that I was still in pain. "I told you once I made a lot of poor choices. I've had my fair share of hangovers."

She didn't say anything else when I sat up and took a few sips from the glass of water she left for me. A few more minutes passed by before I spoke again. "Why did you stay? Why were you even here in the first place?"

When I asked her those two questions she put her phone down for the first time since I woke up and turned to look at me. "You don't remember anything then?"

I shook my head causing her to sigh.

"I came over to talk to you but you were drunk off your ass. I managed to get you to drink a few glasses of water before you looked like you were going to pass out in the kitchen. So I helped you upstairs and after you took a shower when I was going to leave, you asked me to stay."

"And you did?" My tone came out slightly harsher than I expected it to. Probably because of the hangover I was experiencing and the fact I was still kind of mad at her for what she said.

Also, she was the one out of the two of us who was in her right state of mind so she should have made the decision to leave.

"It was kind of hard to say no. You asked me not to leave you on your own." She narrowed her eyes at me as she spoke. I get why she might be annoyed with me but that didn't mean I was over what she did. "I should probably go now though."

Just as she sat up properly to get out of the bed my hand shot out, grabbing her arm gently to stop her.

Why? I have no damn clue, just blame it on the booze which was probably still in my system.
