"A good plan violently executed right now is far better than a perfect plan executed next week."

Military Outpost outside of Margate, England
I blew on my hands and shuddered as the cold, wet air whipped through the small canvas tent. I had my gun shouldered, and the cold steel barrel was stinging through my thin gear, freezing me to the bone. The squad was standing inside of the tent, huddled around a small portable heater as Marius spread a large piece of paper over a folding table.
Marius- Alright soldiers, eyes and ears on me."
Everyone watched Marius' hands move on the table.
Marius- I know you were briefed last night, but I just wanna go over this again. You all know our mission 'ere, correct? I believe the lieutenant already gave you all orders on what you will be doing this mission?"
Whole room- Yes."
Marius- So, they expect us to land our damn choppers on an offshore drilling platform in the pouring rain and the dark, subdue all of the terrorists when we don't know how many there are, and to make it even worse, they've got hundreds of millions of dollars of that damn poison gas hidden there. You know the kind, the stuff we took in London."
"Sir, this sounds risky."
Marius sighed- It damn well is. I would never agree to take on this mission, let alone with just one squad, but they're saying we can't wait for backup. They won't even send boats to help us, say it's too damn rough and risky. They say that, but they're risking our lives? I mean, it ain't my job to question orders, this just isn't good."
Marius took a deep breath to calm himself- Well, hopefully we'll have the element of surprise and be able to take a few of 'em without being noticed. I know you all made sure to suppress your guns, that's good, but I want to get these fuckers as stealthily as possible. Like, silent take-downs if you can. With this damn rain pounding the Earth, you could slit someones belly and his buddy 10 feet away wouldn't hear."
Everyone looked around the room. This was gonna be a tough and risky mission.
Marius- Be ready for takeoff in five. And I want a gas mask on every single one of you."
We all saluted our commander before he walked out of the tent.
We all finished gearing up and put on masks. I managed to convince Ela to take a full face, and once all of us were kitted out, we looked quite scary. I checked my mags and my gear before sprinting over to the already running chopper, trying not to get soaked.
Ela sat next to me on the chopper.
I spoke, muffled by my mask- This is the goddamn craziest mission I've ever heard of."
Ela- Yeah, tell me about it. take rafts, jump from the choppers, raft our way to the rig, and then rappel up the side? This sounds like suicide."
"Well, it ain't suicide for Rainbow."
Ela- I hope so."
The rest of the team climbed in the Chinook, the damn expensive ass American thing.
Marius patted the side of the big girl, and she took off.
--------------
We flew for about 25 minutes before Marius began talking.
Marius- Alright, we're about an eighth of a mile from the rig. I sure as hell hope they can't hear us, but I know damn well they can't see us with all this fog. We're deploying 2 rafts, just let 'em float. The current will take us right below the rig. The rafts will rig up to the platform diagonal of each other. From there, do whatever the hell you can to kill these terrorist bastards and try not to set off any gas."
