Rainbow's Round Table

"Wait, you're telling me you've never heard of the Round Table of Rainbow?"

"No Marius, I've never even heard of this 'Rainbow Round Table'. The hell is it, all the knights of Six uniting or some shit?"

Marius facepalmed at my response. I feel like that's his response to half of my sentences.

"I can't believe that with how long you've been at Rainbow, you haven't once heard of the round table, but yes. It's all of the group leaders meeting together to discuss things with Six. However, the leaders each get to bring a soldier from their group with them. Some people bring the same soldier each time; basically their second in command. Others rotate who they pick. I'm a bit... odd, as I don't exactly balance who I bring with me, but I do change who comes with me every once in a while."

I gave Marius an odd look. "So... I guess you want me to accompany you to this meeting, eh?"

Marius gave me a thumbs up and started running down the hallway. "Yup! Meet me outside of the Cafeteria in 15, I've got to go get all of my papers ready!"

Ughhhhh, great. Marius just invited me to spend one of my off days sitting in an office chair. I really wanted to go biking around town with Ela or go to the shooting range with Timur, but eh. A meeting won't take too long, right? Like... maybe an hour or two?

Whatever, maybe I could learn some cool stuff. Or, maybe I could meet some new people. With how long I've been at Rainbow, I should probably be at least acquaintances with a few more operators. I guess I don't really talk to guys outside of who I sit at with lunch, the SAS, and my group.

"So... you ready?"

Marius was looking at me, and he was holding a stack of papers. And when I say stack, I mean a STACK! There were at least 200 papers in his hands. He had on a somewhat worn gray hoodie with a pink inside, but it smelt strongly of... perfume? He must've just borrowed it from Monika. Surprised a guy like him would walk around with such a girly shirt on.

"Yea. I didn't need to bring any papers, right?"

Marius chuckled. "No, you're good. Just me... I get stuck with all the damn paperwork."

Marius grumbled to himself as I followed him towards this room with the "round table" or whatever the hell it was. We were walking towards Six's office... this place must be right near his room.

Marius stopped after a bit of walking and pointed at a door. "That's the room right there. Just walk in... and take a chair behind me. The chairs around the actual table are reserved for the squad leaders. I would explain more... but you'll understand once we walk in."

Marius opened the door and I filed into line behind him. There were 10 chairs around a massive round wooden table, and people were already sitting in a good bit of the chairs. Marius sat in one off to the side, quite far from six, who sat on the left side, and I sat in a chair behind him.

Out of all of the people there, I only recognized four. Six, Mike, Shuhrat, and Eliza. Six, obviously, leads Rainbow. Of course I've met him before... he is my employer, and he pays me quite well. Mike was my teacher back with the S.A.S and one of my good friends... practically my dad. Shuhrat... he's Timur's friend. A bit of a brute, and quite crude, but a fairly nice guy. Eliza... I don't like her. I've only talked to her a few times... but she seems like a total hussy. I heard from Tina that she used to bully Ela a lot... so she's probably a big cause of my girlfriends social anxiety. She kept leering at me... I guess she did hit on me the first time I tried to talk to her.
