"As you live, you lose reasons and hope. But as you keep on going, you pick up new reasons and hope."

I rubbed my eyes, momentarily blinded by the bright light bleeding into the small hospital room through the shuttered windows. A ding, like that from a doorbell, had woken me from a light sleep.

By the time my eyes had adjusted to the brightness, Ela, who must have already been awake, had already hobbled to the door.

"Ela! Aren't you supposed to take it easy?"

She sighed at me. "Yes, I am. I promise I will! But someone rung the door! It's rude to leave someone at the door. Anyways, you're hurt far worse than I am."

That was debatable. Yes, apparently I had sustained many more wounds than her, but most of mine was just bruised bones and the like. Her injuries were cuts. She needed to take it easy, or else her stitches and staples would pop. Of course, she already had a majority of them out.

"Fiine. You just need to be careful. Please, don't pop your stitches! You really don't want to get them again."

She gave a laughable groan before opening the door. Before her stood Masaru, wearing a Toyota shirt and a pair of cargo pants. His tired face gave off a well meaning smile, and he had a brown, logo-less bag in one hand and a small plastic bag in the other. It had the logo of a well known electronics company. He made sure to lock the door behind him.

"Hello! Am I intruding anything?"

I laughed before speaking,"No, you're not intruding anything. Unless you count my sleep schedule."

He smiled and set the bags down on the window-side counter as Ela and I both sat on her bed. He made sure to keep the bags a good bit away from my notepad and the bouquet of flowers that Olivier had apparently given us.

"Good. You'll have plenty of time to restore it later."

Ela turned to him and spoke. "That's good. Y/n here spends far too long awake watching the little T.V in our room or writing whatever he writes, and then doesn't wake up until nearly noon."

Masaru chuckled. "Well, anyways, I assume you all can put two and two together?"

I looked to the ceiling for a minute before talking. "Yeah, I've had quite a few days to ponder. I haven't had much to do, other than that, considering I need to read subtitles on the T.V and they wouldn't give me a phone or a computer."

Ela chimed in, delivering what we had come up with. "We're staying in Japan for a little while, right?"

He gave a thumbs up. "Bingo! You'll be staying with me, in the lovely city of Tokyo, for a currently undecided time."

Ah, so we were right. I had quickly come to the conclusion that we would be staying in Japan. Hell knows what Harry has been thinking, but everyone knows that Ela and I aren't safe at Rainbow in Hereford. He probably moved us here since Japan is so peaceful (I think it's a low crime country). Also, it sure is beautiful. A great place for rehab. Not to mention the excellent tech.

Ela and I looked at each other, happy we had been right.

"So... anyways. You both have been cleared from the hospital. You're coming to live in my apartment today!"

Ah, finally. We get to leave the confines of this goddamn hospital. Hell, I've only been allowed to leave my room to piss.

Masaru spoke, breaking the random silence. Ela and I were too caught up in thoughts of beautiful Tokyo to say anything.
