Nobody knows her real name, her face, and she never talks. Something about her presence and the way she fights just pulls people in. Everyone wants to know everything about her.
The morning following, Elvira finally got a text back from Endeavor.
Enji: Whatever, just stop by whenever you feel like. Maybe we can figure something out.
Elvira looks at her phone with a slightly surprised expression.
Was he...genuinely being nice? Haha..I must be going crazy.
She sits up and gets ready for the day at U.A.
Toshi had already gotten up and was getting ready himself.
"Ready?" All Might hoists her up in his arms and basically soars all the way there.
The two land with a thud. Students on their way in look over to see the two heroes and start fangirling. Even the guys.
"Good morning everyone!" All Might says on his way in.
"Good morning All Might!"
"I never got the chance to ask, but can I get an autograph?"
Elvira can hear a few students as he talks to them. Then she notices Midoriya, Iida, and Uraraka looking at her.
When Uraraka notices her looking their way, she jumps and turns shows her back. Iida and Midoriya start asking if she's ok. Elvira took this as an opportunity. She walks over to the three and squats down in front of her.
Uraraka gasps and takes a step back. Midoriya and Iida just stand there and watch.
Elvira puts a hand on her forearm and cocks her head.
Elvira doesn't move for a second. Then she grabs her hand and takes her to a secluded area. She has Uraraka sit down at a bench and sits next to her. She faces Uraraka and hold her hand.
Uraraka's face is red and she fidgets where she sits.
"You've been avoiding me," Elvira says just loud enough so Uraraka can hear.
"What? N-no I haven't! Haha," She laughs nervously and scratches the back of her neck.
"Tell me, did I do something?" Elvira asks, with a worried tone.
"Oh, no no no, it's not like that. It's just...*sigh*...a few years ago... you saved my father from falling debris. And then you saved me and my mother from a guy with a gun. But the problem is... I never got to thank you for any of it. And every time I got near you, other people would get in my way and i got shy. So, I guess now's my chance? Um... thank you, Cheshire Cat. For saving my parents. And me of course, but mostly for my parents. I've looked up to you for a really long time. And I wanna be as brave and as cool as you," Uraraka beams with happiness.
Elvira smiles under the mask. She pats her hand and nods.
"I should thank you. For admiring me so much."
The two hug for a minute. Uraraka pulls away and starts to fangirl.
"Haha, now shoo! Go to class!" Elvira tells her.
"Oh right! I almost forgot! Thank you! Oh, wait!" She starts to leave and then turns back around. "I-uh, I like your voice. You should talk more. I think we all kinda get confused by your actions sometimes. But....see you later!"
Elvira just sits there and looks up at the school. She takes a deep breath and takes her helmet off, feeling the cool breeze.
Thinking about everything that has happened, she takes a deep breath and pushes it all back and relishes in the moment. Happy that it's all over and that all is well.
