It had taken just a few more treatments from one of the nurses in order for your bruises to go away along with all the scratch marks. Like magic your skin had gone back to normal. It was as if Yaoyorozu had never tried to hurt you at all. Unfortunately, the reality was that she had. After being discharged from the hospital a few days later, Jiro began to fill you in on what you had missed. According to her, rumors had spread as soon as the party was shut down. Yaoyorozu was trying to make it seem like she was the victim in the situation but thankfully, there were plenty of kids who didn't buy it at all. Only a few of her followers were trying to stick up for her and defend her. Overall, the narrative was that you two had gotten into a cat fight over Shinso. The idea made you roll your eyes all the way to the back of your head. It was incredible how people could just assume you were some petty love sick teen. If only they knew what had really happened.
As much as you wanted to set the record straight, you didn't have time to address pointless drama that would fizzle out within a week anyways. Eventually, the topic would die out and people would move onto something else.
Your mother was still concerned with what was going to happen with Yaoyorozu's parents; who strangely enough stopped calling her after they had landed back in the city. Either way, you were both on edge and wondering what to do as the cops had a paid a visit for some questioning. Considering you were a minor, it was the hospital who had contacted the police, thus making the situation come out of your hands. You couldn't even drop the charges if you wanted to.
"(Name)!" your mother called. "Shinso's here!"
Even though you had completely healed from your injuries, your mother had decided to take off from work for a few days Perhaps she was scared Yaoyorozu was going to come back for round 2. Which even if she did, you were not planning on holding back at all. You exited your room and slipped on your shoes at the door.
"Okay, bye mom," you said. "Won't be back late."
"Please take care of her, Shinso," your mother sighed. "I don't think I could handle another hospital visit."
"Of course I will Ms. (L/N)," Shinso smiled. "After what happened, I'm not letting her out of my sight." He looked over at winked at you.
It felt too awkward having him flirt with you in front of your mom, so you quickly started pushing him towards your front gate to get away as fast as possible.
"Okay, bye mom, don't wait up!"
Your mother laughed as you two walked away from the house, noticing how embarrassed you were.
"Don't be so flirty around my mom!" you whined. "It feels so embarrassing."
"What? I can't help it," he chuckled. "You should've seen the look on your face."
You rolled your eyes at his remark, mad that your face was still red. You two walked down the street, Shinso taking a glance at you.
"So, tell me again why you didn't tell your mom we're going to Yaoyorozu's house?"
"Because if she knew she would freak out and I can't keep making her worry," you stated. "I've done enough. Besides, it's not like we're going to just meet her. We're meeting her parents."
"True," Shinso nodded. "But it still feels like we're going right back in the snakes den."
"Yeah no, I'm scared shitless right now." You took a deep breath. "But we gotta do this. I'm glad at least I'm going with you. Makes me feel like they won't try anything weird."
"What do you think they're gonna do, princess?" Shinso laughed.
"I dunno know but you know rich people always do the weirdest shit," you stated matter of fact. "For all I know they could try to recruit me into some satanic cult."
