It was the bright hospital lights that had awoken you from your deep sleep. You opened your eyes slowly, your vision hazy and blurry. Your head began to throb with pain even more from the fluorescent lights. You lifted your hand to shield your vision, noticing the IV drip attached to it. Next, you noticed the bandaged up scratch marks and the few bruises that were left along your arm.

"What the...?" you whispered, your voice hoarse.

You remembered sobbing uncontrollably the whole way into the hospital, your friend Jiro doing her best to comfort you as the nurse was trying her best to calm you down. You shivered from the memory, the thin hospital bed sheets not providing enough warmth. You were glad that someone in the hospital had a healing quirk. Otherwise, the bruises on your arm would've been much worse. Now, they were less purple and more yellowish brown in color; signaling that with a few more treatments it would disappear. However, that didn't mean your body wasn't completely exhausted and burnt out.

"Sweetie, are you awake?"

A gentle voice had spoken from your side, and then your mom came into view as she leaned in and placed her hand tenderly over yours. She looked so tired and scared, dark circles rimming her eyes from lack of sleep. You hated that you had made her worry so much.

"Mom...? What are you-"

You coughed, your throat still feeling dry. Your mother quickly brought a glass of water up to your lips and you took a much needed gulp. You cleared your throat to help regain some of your voice. You still had a bit of a sore throat but that was due to you screaming so much.

"How are you feeling, honey?" your mother asked.

Her thumb brushed over your hand, her eyes scanning your arms. You could see the tears welling in her eyes that she was trying to suppress.

"I'm okay. Just feel a little sore, I guess...." You looked around the room, noticing that you were lucky enough to get the hospital bed by the window. The sun was beginning to set, the organ sunset melting into the dark night sky. "We're in your hospital aren't we?"

"Yes," she nodded. "Jiro had brought you here on purpose and I rushed over as soon as I knew." She looked down for a moment, taking a deep breath. "Then, Shinso came and filled me in on what happened."

"He did....?"

"Yes. (Name), what did you get yourself into?" Your mother sighed heavily, rubbing her tired eyes. "I was so worried about you and now I have Yaoyorozu's parents calling my phone nonstop trying to speak to me."

"What? About what?" you said confused.

"They are saying that Yaoyorozu claims you attacked her first and that she was only defending herself."

You almost shot out of bed but the pain you were feeling prevented you.

"What!" you gasped. "That's not true, she attacked me. Come on, I'm the one in the hospital!"

"I know it's bullshit, (Name)," your mother cursed. "Forgive me but this situation is just so complicated now. I refuse to answer the rest of their calls without a lawyer."

Your eyes widened. "A lawyer? Mom, that's going to be too expensive. You can't do that."

"If they try to press charges on you or anything...." Tears began to fall down her face. She used a spare napkin she had in her pocket to wipe them away. "I don't want to see you get hurt anymore, (Name). I can't let them just throw you away in juvie."

"We should be the ones pressing charges," you muttered annoyed.

"Believe me, I'm considering it. Either way we might need a lawyer."
