*This is it folks, the last chapter if this book and the beginning of the next generation of magic folk! I'm hella surprised I actually finished this. I wonder if this is how JK Rowling felt after she finished the Harry Potter books, you know the inspiration for this fan fic.*

*Granger Malfoy children's names are at the bottom of this chapter.*

Scorpius Draco Granger Malfoy was the oldest of the Granger Malfoy children and this came with a variety of responsibilities. They ranged from insuring his brother, Eridanus, doesn’t kill himself by falling down too many flights of stairs to reading his little sister, Rana, bedtime stories. They were both important jobs but he preferred to read with the sister because there were less safety risks involved with the task. Scorpius loved his siblings from the time they came out of the womb, but it took him a while before he found them fascinating. When he first met his new siblings they were small, red, and could barely keep their eyes open for more than ten minutes. They were practically dormant and completely uninteresting; Socrpius only met one person that he was completely enthralled with from the day they met.

Scorpius met Rosemary Molly Weasley three hours after he was born. And those three hours before she came into his life were absolute hell. It’s not that he hated his parents or anything but there was something about Rose Weasley that intrigued the boy. Maybe it was her red hair or dazzling green eyes; it could be something entirely different but whatever it was drew Scorpius towards her.

Even though Scorpius fell for the Weasley girl’s magnetic pull, the young red head did everything in her power to go as far away from him as possible. She tried everything from girls only birthday celebrations to creative hiding spots to keep the blond haired demon at bay, but their parents were friends so the young children were forced to interact with each other. Scorpius was fine with the constant playdates and summertime picnics but his buddy was not, so he was determined to make Rose like him. No matter how long it took.

There was no doubt in Scorpius’ mind that he couldn’t change Rose’s mind about him. After all, she liked her brother’s and her cousin Albus so why didn’t she like him? He opened doors for her, helped her find lost toys, and gave her the best Christmas presents. Every year his father would take him shopping for the perfect gift for Rose because she was the only girl in near their age who he socialized with frequently so her gift required a special amount of attention. She put up with mud fights and rough quidditch matches without batting an eyelash; Rose was the toughest seven year old girl he knew.

Scorpius wanted to buy Rose a new broom because she was bound to outgrow her current model but his father needed to pick up a gift for his mother first. His father always bought his mother’s gifts at the very last minute because she was “too nosey for her own good”. Scorpius figured his father was not good at hiding presents.

Scorpius followed his father into the jewelry shop like he had done a number of times before. His father always got his mother jewelry for special occasions but it wasn’t always received well. Like last year, his mother received a very shiny diamond brooch then laughed in her husband’s face for attempting to buy her love with something she’d never wear. Other times she graciously accepted the gift and awarded the gifter with a peck on the cheek. Scorpius found these public displays of affection absolutely atrocious and he couldn’t quite decipher why his father would give his mother copious amounts of jewelry she wouldn’t wear. She wore the same round gold pendant necklace without fail.

The older blonde man looked around the shop examining the glass display cases for something worthwhile and the young boy followed his movements. Yes the pieces of metal were shiny, however he could not find the purpose behind the gesture.
