Jess regretted not insisting that she take the strange weapon home with her instead of letting Spider-Man walk off with it. Her dad and Pepper were still in India so she had the lab all to herself, it would've been the perfect time to examine the weird tech only she didn't have the damn thing. She did have Peter Parker's number though, maybe Spider-Man had told him something.

Jess sighed as she examined the photo. The tech glowed purple in a way that was eerily familiar but she couldn't put her finger on it. However, the purple glow seemed to be the only remarkable thing about the weapon, the rest being seemingly standard tech.

She decided to pull Harry into the investigation. After all, she was Spider-Woman and she had helped make the discovery, she was definitely allowed to involved her best friend.

Jess felt bad lying to her lifelong friend, but Spider-Woman was always something Jess played close to her chest. Even though she had been bitten with Harry at his dad's lab, she couldn't tell him. It was in the best interest of them both.
