Due to story purposes, I am changing some details. But it will all make sense down the road!

Reader POV

The fog around the ship thickened.

"What is that?" You called to the captain.

"That would be Her Majesty's fog. Only those invited legally can get past. If they entered illegally, they would be sent to Her Majesty immediately and put on trial," he scratched his white hair. "I don't advise crossing Her Majesty without permission."

You shivered. Before your departure, Julius, William, and Dad had told you what little they knew about the Heart Kingdom. It was a nature-based kingdom and its queen controlled the entire area.

"Look, the fog is clearing up!" The captain called out. Sure enough, you could see everything. People ran to the riverbank and waved to you and you waved back.

"See those stairs?" The first mate named Jack pointed dead ahead. "The Queen controls that."

You awed at it. "The Queen really does control everything here,"

"Damn right she does," Jack laughed. "Say, you never did tell us why you are going to the Heart Kingdom."

"Oh, um..." You had strict instruction not to tell anyone unless they gave you the code word Colbat or the Queen gave permission.

"Aw, that's right. The Queen told me to give the code word before telling," Jack scratched his blonde hair. "Colbat. Now can you tell me?"

You gave him a curious stare. "Didn't the Queen tell you?"

"She did, but I want to hear it from you."

"If you already know, then there's no need for me to tell you."

Jack shrugged. "Thats fine because..." he suddenly summoned his grimoire. "Light Magic: Swords of Conviction!"

You unleashed your own spell. "Dark Magic: Demon's hellfire!"

"Oi?! Don't fight on our ship!! The Queen may like you, but we don't want to pay for damage!"

"Sorry!" Jack apologized. "Let's see how strong you are. Light Magic: Wings of Sepheria!"

"Dark Magic: Wings of Lucifer!"

You followed the light mage into the air and the fight continued.

"Light Magic: Holy Light of God!"

"Dark Magic: Dimension Slash!"

You easily deflected the spell. "Is that all you got??"

"Shut up! I'm surprised you are still able to combat me since the spells I used are very advanced," Jack confessed. "No matter. Lifht Magic: Holy Grail of Love!"

"Dark Magic: Demonic Shadow of Hell!"

That sent him flying. He flew back, hands in the air.

"Holy shit, the Queen wasn't lying. You are stronger than you seem. I wouldn't be surprised if you were Stage One or higher,"

Suddenly the waterfall split to two.

"Follow me. Her Majesty wants to meet you." Jack flew into the space between the waterfall and you followed behind.

"Welcome, (y/n) Sukehiro. We've been expecting you." A woman with black hair and blue eyes smiled kindly.

"Your Majesty," Jack bowed and you did the same.

"I just watched your fight with Jack! You are so cool!" A girl that looked just like her mother bounced in excitement.

"This is my daughter Lolopechta," the Queen smiled. "I am Queen Dominata, but you may call me Dominita."

"Hello," you smiled back.

Dominta's face got serious. "Undine, please bring Lolopechta to her room."

The water syph nodded and carried her daughter away and returned shortly after.

"I might as well get straight to the point," Dominita said. "We used Jack Doran to assess your current stage."

"Stage?"

Dominita nodded. "Yes. The higher your magic ability, the closer it its to Stage Zero. Say a person has no magic. They are at Stage Nine. However, in some cases, there can be no classification of stages in a number system. I'm sure you were told you were one of three living and known mages able to defeat the devil named Megicula."

"Yes."

"As Jack guessed, you are indeed a stage higher than Stage One. Even above Stage Zero," she said. "There is a level above Stage Zero. The Arcane Stage. Those with demonic abilities or unnatural magic other than recreational everyday magic such as mirrors belong in the Arcane Stage."

Dominita motioned to you. "You have a mix of Dark and Demonic Magic. It's almost as rare as Anti-Magic."

You now understood. "So that is why Dad sent me here. He knew I could get stronger here."

"Yes but no. This kingdom is a nature kingdom. To defeat Megicula, you will be tasked with understanding the properties of nature. Undine and I have forseen that in the future, you will be fighting alongside of your comrades and newcomers from the Clover Kingdom and Diamond Kingdom."

"But the Diamond Kingdom-"

"You will understand when the time comes." Dominina had a sad look on her face. "I will not be there to see. I was cursed by Megicula himself long ago. I only have a month to live. I need you to take care of Lolopechta when I am gone. She will need to be a strong ruler when the time comes."

"Of course," you said.

"Good." Dominita sighed. "I'm sure you are overwhelmed by everything I have told you. Please, take any room in the cave palace that you would like to sleep in."

"Thank you,"

...

"I miss you already," Nozel sighed as you contacted him through a device Marx gave you.

"I miss you too," you smiled at him.

"Tell me...how is the Heart Kingdom?"

"Where to begin?" You laughed. "Well, I love it here. Did you know the queen controls everything here?"

"How powerful is she to be able to do that?" Nozel leaned back on his chair. By the setting behind him, you could tell he was in his study at House Silva.

"Her daughter Lolopechta is also insanely powerful, I can already tell," you said to Nozel.

"I believe it." He smiled warmly at you. "Hey...take care of yourself, okay?"

"I will. Don't die on me, idiot," you said.

You chatted for a bit before ending the call with smiles.

"For Nozel and everyone Megicula has hurt. I swear I will end him," you vowed before blowing out the candle and going to sleep.
