Reader POV

"It isn't your fault," you explained. "You don't have control over your magic,"

The boy looked at you. "But-"

You held out your hand. "Take my hand, young one. I will take care of you and help you grow that magic, okay?"

He seemed to practically jump into you. "Thank you, Miss...?"

"Just call me (y/n)," you said with a smile as you guided the both of you out of Endless Void.

Asta looked up. You had returned to see your group had tied up the hunters.

You placed a foot next to the leader after moving the boy aside gently. "What the hell is wrong with you??"

"She's also a demon!" The hunter growled. "You filth have ruined everything for this kingdom!"

You slapped him in the face, your wings out threateningly. "You scum won't look past your noses to see that not all of us devils are bad,"

"Wait...isn't that King Yuno's sister? The wife of Wizard King Nozel Silva from the Clover Kingdom?" Another asked.

You glared at them. "Where all of us are from is no matter. You scumbags were going to kill a child!"

"That child is a demon! He's got a father for a demon! His mother was killed by-"

You gave the leader another slap. "Shut up, scum. He was purely defending his mother. Yes, I agree that maybe he shouldn't have burned an entire village down, but he has no control over his magic-"

"Which is why we should kill all of you devils before you kill us all anyway!"

You knew all of these hunters had no mana. It was plain as day.

"No, that wouldn't be fair," You said calmly. "If you really know who I am, then you would do well to remember that all four kingdoms were saved by everyone and in that span were two devils. Asta and I,"

Asta growled beside you. "I don't want my children to grow up in a world where people hate each other or other species just because of some bullshit stereotypes! The world is changing, damn it!"

"Shut up!" Leonardo stumbled over. He had used his demonic blood magic to make a demonic blood wing on his right side since he didn't have the blood of a devil, he was possessed by a devil who believed in justice.

"Like Asta said! The world is changing! You should learn to grow past grudges! I can tell you firsthand! It's not going to get you anywhere! I agree that devils are a problem, but they can also be a solution."

"What the hell are you saying?"

"We're saying that you should accept the fact that devils are now appearing out of the shadows after centuries of hiding. Not all of them are bad."

The hunter looked down. "But that kid has to pay-"

You bared your teeth, your canines sharp. "That child will be under my care for now. I promise you, he will learn to control his magic."

The leader spat on the ground next to Asta. "He'd better. Or else we're going to find him and put an end to this madness."

You had enough. "Do as you like to shut them up, but make sure you don't hurt them."

The hunters were gagged and put in chains as you escorted them through the woods into the Spade Kingdom where they would await trial.

"You seriously look like you want to kill someone," Yuno joked.

You sighed. "Stop it. I just don't like how they were willing to kill a child."

"(y/n), that's another thing we need to bring up at the trial. Who will take care of him?" Fiona asked.

You stared at the three Spade royalty humans. "I'm going to take care of him."

"What will Nozel say?"

You smiled. "Oh, I'll be able to convince him if he doesn't like the idea. But I'm sure he will."

"Whatever you say."

The trial went smoothly. 

Each side fought for hours, but it was finalized that you would take care of the child and the hunters would agree to stop purging the streets for devils and their kin.

"Are you my new Mommy?" The child asked as he took your hand. He looked at you with round blue eyes.

You nodded. "Yes, I am, Yukio. I'm going to take care of you."

"Yukio?" The boy seemed to like his new name. "I like it."

"Yukio Spade Sukehiro Silva," you smiled. "Welcome to my family. You've already got a brother and a younger sister."

When Nozel saw Yukio, he stared at you in shock. "Of course we will take care of him!"

Yukio stared at his new father skeptically. "You'd better not hurt Mommy,"

"I'd never!" Nozel protested. You had explained to him that Yukio's situation before you rescued him might cause him to be scared at times.

Noah looked at his new brother. "Hm...you've got demonic magic,"

"How do you know?" Yukio tilted his head.

Noah produced a demonic spell combined with his father's mercury magic. "Because I have a mix of Mom's demonic magic and Dad's mercury magic,"

"That's so cool! That's right! Mom's biological father was Megicula himself so you have his demonic blood,"

"He's a smart one," Nozel said in your ear. He then nipped it since none of the kids were watching. "I'll have you know that you're in big trouble,"

You gulped. "What??"

"You forgot to let me give you a french kiss when I said goodbye to you three nights ago," Nozel growled into your ear, his voice low so none of the children would hear. "I expect I will not have to discipline you again after tonight?"

You could already feel yourself getting slightly aroused. "Nozel, not here. After we put the children to bed."

"Fine, but you're not getting away tonight," he hissed. "I'll have you know you're going to be so sore tomorrow morning."
