Reader POV

"(y/n)!" Dominita gave you a sad smile. You, Undine, and herself knew that her days were now numbered to less than week. "I have a surprise for you."

You stood up immediately. "Dominita, you should be resting-"

"I'll be resting forever soon enough," she said. "Your father and William Vangeance are here."

"What?" You looked beyond her to see your adopted father and uncle figure.

"The four of us need to speak," she said.

She guided all of you to her throne room where she stumbled and fell.

Undine helped her up. "Your Highness, you must save your strength!"

"Hush." Dominita struggled to her throne and sat down with a sigh. "We know that you know about your true lineage."

Yami stepped forward. "We didn't tell you and got rid of your true memories to protect you," he quickly stated.

You looked at him with a quick glance. "I understand why." Yami let out a relaxed sigh.

"They are here today to do something that hasn't been done since the Elves roamed the lands," Dominita said with a serious tone. "Have you ever seen the statue of the first Wizard King? Lumiere Silvamillion?"

"On top of a demon's skull in the Boonies by Hage village?" You asked.

"Yes." She took a deep breath. "A very few know, but that is actually the true Lumiere Silvamillion. An entrapment by an Arcane Stage female mage over five hundred years ago."

She continued. "We are going to do something similar. Instead of sealing you into stone, we are going to put you to sleep for ten years."

"What? Why?" You asked, fearing this outcome.

William said nothing to answer your question. "We will show you."

Dominita summoned her grimoire. "Water Magic. Fountain of Truth." A marble fountain appeared next to Undine who placed a drop of her magical essence inside.  "(y/n), take a drink from that fountain and you will understand."

You did as she instructed.

You watched through your adopted father's eyes as Julius Novochrono explained what their plan was.

You came out of the trance with a deep gasp. "I understand why I have to do this. But can I talk to Nozel one last time?"

William nodded. "We thought you might say that. He will arrive here tomorrow."

Yami handed you a vial that contained a deep blue liquid. "This will put you to sleep for ten years. Please...when you drink this, do not tell anyone about the future. Julius is still not certain that this will alter the course. But we all hope so."

You nodded. "I will do anything not to become that monster in that manner," you vowed. "I will do what is right."

"Jeez, you sound like William now," Dad ruffled your hair in a childish manner.

Queen Dominita started coughing suddenly.

"Dominita! I told you, don't use the fountain of truth!" Undine gasped worriedly at the Heart Queen who was now collapsed on the floor. Pools of blood splattered from her face.

"It is Megicula's curse," she coughed. "My time is up." She raised a shaking hand at Undine. "Undine. Take care of Lolopechta. (y/n), when you wake, the world you know will not be the same as you know it."

You ran over and grasped her hand. "Dominita, I swear when I wake up, I will do whatever it takes to protect everyone."

"You will not be alone," she gasped. "Good...luck." With one final breath, she was gone.

A whisp of blue light came from her last breath and floated over you.

A faint voice whispered in your ear, "This magic will protect your sleeping state."

All too soon, it was gone.

"Dominita...Dominita!!" Undine tried to shake her Queen and friend awake. "Don't leave! Don't leave!"

William took off his mask and rested it on his chest. Everyone's head bowed in respect for the fallen ruler. "May she find peace."

Your fist shook. "I swear. As the daughter of the devil himself, I will do whatever it takes to end him from this world," you said in a low voice.

...

Lolopechta was soon informed about everything that was otherwise hidden from her.

"You!" She stared at you in shock. "You are the daughter of Megicula!"

You nodded shamefully. "I promise you, Lolopechta. Your mother's death will not be vain."

Lolopechta dried her tears. "I promise you, (y/n). You will receive no harm when you are asleep." She suddenly hugged you. "I know that after you see Nozel one last time, you will drink the potion."

You accepted her hug and nodded.

When Nozel came to the Heart Kingdom's palace in the cave, he immediately hugged you.

"I've missed you so much," he kissed you passionately as you did the same.

"Nozel...I have something to tell you." You knew that you had to tell him everything. If you didn't to protect him...you would never be able to seek his forgiveness should he find out from someone else.

At least if you were sleeping, he would have ten years to think about everything and then decide if he could ever forgive you for your father's sins.

Nozel noticed your shaking tone. "What is it?"

"Come with me." You lead him to your room in the palace. You took a deep breath. "Whatever I tell you, promise me you won't interrupt or move until I am done speaking."

"What are you going to tell me?" He asked with a worried tone. "Tell me."

So you told him. As you spoke, his grip on your hands got tighter and tighter and his face turned from worried and loving to angered and pained.

"So this is why I must drink this potion," you finished. He didn't say anything. Nor would he look at you.
