Melanie

This morning I got up an hour earlier than I usually do.  I got dressed, did my hair, grabbed my rugsak, and rushed out the door.  Mam is probably going to be obsessively checking my location when she realizes that I am not at home.  I decided to take myself to Starbucks instead to get a nice breakfast.  I drove myself to school and parked in my spot, waiting for the bell to ring.

*Knock, knock*

I looked over and saw that Aiden had knocked on my passenger seat window.  I nodded my head for him to come in and saw his wide smile.

"You're never in this early," Aiden says as he gets comfortable in my passenger seat.

"Well, I'm not usually trying to avoid my Mam."

"You in a fight with her?"

"Eh, not sure. We haven't really talked about it." I say, not allowing him into too much of my business.

"Oh, you're one of those kinda girls." He chuckles and nods his head.

"What kinda girl?"

"The one who's always in a mood with her Mum and Dad."

"First of all, it's just me and my Mam. Second of all, I'm never usually in a mood with her." I tell him and turn my music down on the radio.

"I don't know, I might have to watch out for girls like you."

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah, you seem kinda on and off." He chuckles, "But then again, it would be really hard to stay away."

"On and off?" I tut and lean back in my seat.

"I was kidding—"

"I know," I beam and lean my arm on the middle console.

"You know, you've got banter.  I've never had a girl give it back to me." Aiden

"I've never had a boy be so open about his crush on me." I tease him again.

"Huh?"

"Mhm," I hum, knowing that he know exactly what I said.

"I do not have a crush on you." He says with a sort of determination in his voice like he wants me to believe him.

"Oh..." I sigh sadly and look out my window.

"Oh, I didn't think you were serious." He frets as I make him think he has upset me.

"I wasn't," I giggle and keep my eyes towards my window.

"You think you're so funny." Aiden chuckles to himself as he looks out his window out of shyness.

"I am funny," I giggle, "Don't you agree?" I ask him.

"Depends," He mumbles as I look towards him.

"On what?"

"If I agree...will you let me kiss you?" He says and turns to face me as well.  We both have our elbows on the middle console and seem to be leaning towards one another.

"Sure," I say to test him.

"Well, that's too bad because I disagree — I'm definitely funnier.  But it's nice to know you want me to kiss you." Aiden grins widely and opens his car door.  I gasp and feel heat rise to my cheeks.

"You're the worst!" I shout to him as I open my car door and see him runs towards the school building.  I watch as he catches up with his football mates, leaving me by myself.
