Melanie
I woke up this morning, happy that it's a Saturday. No school, no plans, no homework. Just me, Mam, Addie, and some films. It's nice to always have a day off where Mam and I can just chill.
I rolled over, grabbing my phone off the bedside table and looking at my text messages. I searched for one person's name in particular and checked their messages. I smiled at the words and answered back.
I got out of bed and went to my wardrobe, throwing on a random pink jumper that has blue, red, and white stripes on the sleeves and some black leggings. I put some white socks on and went to brush my teeth, fix my hair, and wash my face.
"Mamma!" I yelled as I got out of my ensuite and made my way into the hallway. She didn't respond, so I walked downstairs and into the kitchen.
"Why didn't you answer?" I asked as I saw her standing there, texting away on her phone.
"Sorry, I didn't hear you." She stroked my hair and planted a kiss on my temple. I gave her the usual kiss on the cheek and went to the fridge.
"I kinda want a doughnut," Mam mentioned and I closed the fridge and turned around.
"I kinda do too." I agreed, making her giggle at me.
"I can call Dum Dums," Mam said, suggesting that we get some doughnuts from there. I nodded my head, making her get her phone and call.
"Hi! Yes, I'd like the assorted 6 Dough Box. Uhm, Tweedy. Okay, thank you. Bye!" Mam finished up her order and then put her phone back down. I started to put my trainers on and grab my coat.
"Baby, I can get it." Mam tried to stop me, but I disagreed.
"I'll get it, Mam, don't worry about it. You just stay here and relax." I told her, knowing that she's done lots of work in the studio and stuff.
"Alright, drive safe." She didn't bother to argue with me and just let me go. I gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek, but she pulled me back into a hug and kissed all over my face.
"I love you zillions." She sighed and handed me my keys. I smiled at her before leaving out the front door and getting in my car. I started the engine and turned on my music, heading for Starbucks first. Nothing like a good surprise for my Mamma.
When I got to Starbucks, I ordered Mam and I's coffees and got back into the car. I took a little snapchat picture and posted it on my story.
