Melanie walked into the house with her heavy suitcase, feeling absolutely shattered. They're back in London and have just finished dropping off Nicola and Kimberley. Melanie stormed up the steps and into her bedroom, laying her suitcase on the floor. Cheryl walked through to her daughter's bedroom and saw her fall on the bed.

"Are you tired?" Cheryl asked in a baby voice and laid next to her daughter. The teen didn't respond and Cheryl realized that she was sound asleep.  The mother pulled the duvet over her daughter's body, making sure to keep her warm.

"Sleep tight, baby." Cheryl whispered and kissed Melanie's forehead.  Addie hopped up onto the teen's bed and laid beside her.  Cheryl gave the puppy a few pets and then walked to her own bedroom.

Cheryl walked into her ensuite and took an early morning shower.  She's not only jet-lagged but when they landed back in London, everything reminded her of Liam.  As she stood under the hot water, Cheryl let the tears flow, getting them out now.  The last thing the mother wants is for Melanie to see her cry.

Cheryl got out of the shower and changed into some sweats to lounge in.  She sat herself on her bed and turned on the telly, wondering what's on.  The mother decided to watch Corrie on catch-up, seeing as she missed a few episodes.

After a bit of time went by, Cheryl checked her phone.  It's now one-thirty in the afternoon and she hopes Melanie is going to wake up soon.  They're jet-lagged badly and Cheryl knows how grumpy Melanie can be when they are.

"Mammy?" Melanie suddenly walked into the bedroom, rubbing her eyes.  Cheryl smiled at her not-so-little girl coming towards her and held out her hand.

"Hi, me little one.  C'mere." Cheryl helped her daughter onto the bed and was followed by Addie.  Melanie laid her warm body next to Cheryl's under the duvet, initiating the cuddle.  Addie laid down as well and rest her head on the teen's hip.

"You'll be staying up late tonight." Cheryl giggled to herself and made Melanie crack a smile, which is hard to do after she's just woken up.

"Will you stay up with me?" Melanie hopefully asked and felt a kiss on her head.  She laid further into Cheryl's side and kissed the bare skin of her mother's arm.

"I'm not on holiday from school like you are.  I have to be in the office around eleven tomorrow." The mother spoke with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

"Why?" Melanie frowned.

"Just how the schedule works, honey." Cheryl commented and looked down at her sad daughter.

"I miss the beach." Melanie complained already about leaving the island, wishing she was still in paradise with Kyle - she never even properly got to say goodbye.

"That makes the two of us, babe." Cheryl pouted like Melanie and kissed her daughter's poked-out lips "Do you want a cuppa?" Cheryl asked and felt Melanie nod against her side.  The mother turned the telly off and waited for the teen to get out of bed.

"We'll go shopping for your Coachella trip tomorrow, is that okay?" Cheryl asked as they sat down in the breakfast bar stools.

"Yeah, thanks, Mamma." Melanie responded and kissed Cheryl's temple before taking a sip of her tea.

"We need to open your pressies!" Cheryl reminded Melanie, needing her to send out thank you notes, texts and calls soon.

"Oh, yeah! C'mon, Mam!" Melanie pulled her mother into the front room, where all of her presents have been waiting for her.
