The library is silent, I don't like it.
Danny looks up from his spot across from me, eyebrows furrowed as he sees my gaze on him.
"What?" He whispers, cheeks tingeing pink.
"What?" I question back, ripping my eyes from his and onto the screen in front of me before focusing back on him.
"You were looking at me." His lips quirk up as he shakes his head at me.
I shrug, flicking a piece of blonde hair off of my forehead.
"Was I?" I smirk, eyes twinkling. I lean forward, resting my elbow on the table and leaning my chin in my palm. He leans back in his seat, crossing his arms in front of him, his eyes trailing my arms.
He laughs. "Yes, Reid, you were"
"Guess there was something that caught my attention." I chuckle softly and lean back, trying to focus my attention back on the screen in front of me.
He tries to hide his smile, but I still catch it and my lips quirk up in response before I wipe the smile from my face.
"We're supposed to be studying." He whispers and taps the end of his pencil against the book in front of him.
I roll my eyes, "I am studying." I tell him, pointing to the screen in front of me. "You-" I point at him. "are distracting me."
"What are you studying?" He leans over quickly, I try to angle the screen away from his prying eyes but by the widening of them, I doubt I succeeded.
I curse swiftly and silently, closing the lid.
"What was that?" He says, fingers falling to hover over mine on the lid.
"That was math's." I tell him as if he is stupid, tightening my grip on the lid as he tries to lift it open.
He looks at me as if I'm stupid. "That was not math's"
I nod my head enthusiastically. "Algebra. X equals-" I pause shutting the lid fully. "Why the heck am I explaining this to you?"
He smirks. "X equals why are you so defensive?"
"X equals-" I narrow my eyes, heart thumping. "I don't care what X equals."
"What do you plus I equal?" Danny says, sitting back in his seat, crossing his arms once again.
"I-" I lean forward, pushing the laptop away from me. "What do you want us to be?"
"I like you, Reid."
My heart explodes in my chest, beating erratically.
"I like you too, Danny."
His lips lift cheekily, his arms uncrossing as he leans over the desk, face closer to mine.
Before I know it, his hands are laying on the laptop. He pulls it towards him.
My hands reach out, fingertips skimming it before it's out of my reach.
The sneaky bitch. I narrow my eyes on him in mock anger. He's just so fucking cute, I can't get angry.
"Hey, that's cheating."
He stands up as well, quickly rushing between two book cases.
A chuckle escapes my lips.
I walk steadily towards the aisle, shaking my head in mirth.
He has no idea who he's dealing with.
I walk between the book cases, Danny standing at the other end, my laptop sitting idly on the shelf by his head.
"Danny, can I have my laptop?" I hold out my hand, palm up.
"Come and get it."
If you insist.
My steps are measured, calculated as I walk the rest of the way down the aisle.
I stop within an armlength of his body, his heat wrapping around mine.
I lean forward, drawing my face close to his as I take the laptop from the shelf.
He smiles as my face hovers in front of his.
My eyes connect to his, melting into the chocolate depths.
My lips meet his, a soft gasp escaping his lips.
My hands grasp his jaw, lifting it up as I move my lips against his, softly, savouring his essence.
His back slams into the bookcase, his hands hovering on my wide hips. Pulling them into his.
I remove my lips from his, breathing heavier.
"Do you want to go on a date?" I whisper, fingertip tracing his cheekbone.
"Mhmmh" He hums, nodding his head. "Yes."
I kiss him again, lifting his chin with my finger.
He leans back, head bumping into the rough spine of a book.
"Why are you searching different types of bombs?"
I reel back.
"What?"
"You weren't studying math's, Reid"
"Yes, I was. It was math's, a different type"
"What type of math's?"
"X equals Why do you want to know?"
"It looked interesting."
"It is interesting."
"Can you teach me this type of . . . math's?"
I think about it and my eyes light up.
"Yes, but first a date."
