I decided to let it all out.

Bri would understand me. She held my hand tight in her hands waiting for me to tell her all about me and Josh.

"Bri, you knew Josh and Eli for brief before you left."

"Yeah, Josh had shifted like few months back and Eli for few days when I left."

"So you know everything till the time you left for new York."

She nodded her head.

I closed my eyes. My mind was numb I didn't know where to start. Suddenly we both were startled by the ringtone on Bri's mobile. I thought she would cut the call but she saw the screen and she picked up the call. I was pissed at Bri as I was about to tell her everything but when I heard her talking I realised I had to wait for sometime to let all Blurt out.

It was my mother's call. I had forgotten my cellphone in the room.

She had called Bri to remind me of lunch plans. It was already 11 and I was late.

Reluctantly I asked Bri to meet me after lunch. I went back to my room, took out one of my favorite dress and got ready. As I headed for the lunch, my mind was still numb with all the thoughts that crowded my mind.

Why the hell Eli had to ask Josh to be his best man? And why the hell Josh had to agree? This wouldn't be the first time he would have rejected. He had done this plenty of times. I didn't know how he came to my dad's funeral. He considered my family as his own but he was never there when we needed him.

Point was he could have definitely said no this time but he had to say yes.
In my mind I traveled back to the time when I was crazily hopelessly in love with Josh. His voice, his face were my salvation. He would hold me in his arms and I would melt away. His touch, his soft kisses were enough for me to forget that the world around us existed.

What the hell? Why am I thinking about him right now? Did I still love him? I didn't want to. For my sake, for Eli's sake.
I loved Eli and I didn't want to hurt him. He has been my pillar in the tough times.

I was deep in my thoughts and someone brought me out of it with snap of fingers.

Josh was standing in front of me. Still looking his handsome self, those eyes which made me forget everything in the world. Oh snap out of it , Eve.

He smiled and said," Hey cherry, you look beautiful."

"Thanks Josh, it's little inappropriate you still calling me Cherry, don't you think?"

He nodded. "Where are others?" I asked.

" Eli hasn't shown his face yet but he will be here in sometime I guess, he is always late. And as for Bridget, she was here first but she got a call so she said she had to take it."

I said nothing. I didn't want to look at him as my thoughts were already running amok. My throat was getting dry so I gulped down a glass of water. Even though I didn't look at him, I knew he was looking at me. My face was flushed.

Nobody spoke for a while.

"Never thought there won't be anything to say. There was a time when we talked all night long." said Josh.

I looked at him, it was a genuine thought without hurt or envy. I felt relaxed.

"Well when it comes to us, there are always surprises."

"Cherry, I don't want us to be awkward."

"Me neither but you kind of make it difficult."

"How so?"
