Another disaster coming my way and it will drawn me soon. I couldn't understand what was wrong with Mia.

She just dropped another bomb and she pretended that I knew.

"I'm shifting here in Chicago." What the actual hell?
I had no idea. I looked at Eve, I had just explained to her everything and....
Suddenly her laptop buzzed, her boss was calling her on zoom. She gave me a look of discontent and went inside picking up the laptop. I looked at Mia with impatience and she smiled at me like nothing was wrong.

I took a cup of coffee and went to bedroom. Eve looked at me and excusing whoever that was on call she said to me, " Josh this will take time. You can keep the cup here. I will be back when I'm done." Her tone was so formal. Business like.

"Okay." Keeping the cup on the side table, I kissed Eve on the cheek and came out of the bedroom. What the hell was going on with Mia? She was acting weird. I grabbed her arm, and pulled her into the library.

" What's wrong with you?" I almost yelled and realised Eve was on office call and just in the next room.

"What?"

"What was that?" I said pacing in the room.

"I don't know what you are talking about." She acted all innocent. That made me even more pissed.

"Mia, you are moving here? When did you decide that and why did you say it like I already knew?"

"Didn't I tell you that in office?"

"No."

"Oh I see. I forgot I didn't." She said in casual tone.

"Answer my questions. Damnit."

"I decided it when I came to know you are moving here."

"Why the hell? And how." And I realised it was easy for her. She was the daughter of the owner of our company she had shares in the company. She could shut it down the very next day if it pleased her. She smiled knowingly.

"You are my best friend Josh. I actually came here to convince you to move back but I see you've entangled yourself in another complication." After a pause, she said, " oh wait. It's not another complication. It's the same old one."

I knew perfectly well what she meant by that.

"Mia, think before you speak. You are talking about Eve. She is my wife now."

"Josh don't you know what happened last time. I know you love her Josh but don't you understand yet, when you come close you tend to destroy each other."

"Bullshit. Mia, it's my life. Give your suggestions when asked."

"Okay fine. I care for you and her as well. But You two are just so opposite. You have different values. You need someone practical in your life not an emotional fool."

"Mia." My voice rang in the library. "Don't dare say anything more about Eve. And don't judge my decisions. I know what I want. You are my friend. but I don't want you to tell me what to do and what to not."

"Josh, is that what I'm doing? "

"Yes you are." I yelled again out of despair.

She was scared for a minute. Shocked, that I would say this to her, she kept looking at me for while. I glared back at her. She slowly reached my hand, taking it in her hands. She pulled me into a hug.

I hugged her back. She said," Josh I know it must be difficult. But I'm here for you. I will always be here for you. You were happy Josh, we both were. You went for wedding and now you are married. What happened? How did you end up marrying her?"
