"Hey, who's home?" Calum calls, walking into the house around four.
"Daddy!" He can't help but grin at the sound of Nika's excited voice, catching the small girl as she runs to him.
"Roy stopped in, but he said he was going to pick up stuff for your party. So it's just Nika and I right now." Skye smiles from the couch.
"I'm going to try and get the place cleaned up before everyone gets here if you want to hang out with Nika a while longer. Also, come to the party, don't like hide in your room please. My friends want to meet you. And I'd like you to meet them, since when we tour and stuff you'll be around them a lot. You should know them."
"First, Nika and I cleaned up the yard and kitchen earlier. We knew people were coming over and we made a game of it. She was a big help. And second, are you sure? I don't want to impose on you and all your friends."
"Absolutely. I will be more angry if you don't come hang out with us. And thanks for cleaning up, that's not necessarily your job." He chuckles, sitting on the opposite side of the couch as she is.
"Eh, Nika and I make the most messes while we are here during the day. It wasn't a problem. Hey, Nika, why don't you go get your dad that paper we made this morning?"
"Oh ya!" Her little eyes light up as she fumbles off of Calum's lap and runs for the kitchen.
"What?" Calum laughs, watching his daughter hurry away.
"Just wait. She is really excited about it." Skye laughs, both waiting until Nika's messy curls come flying back into the room, the pink paper in her hand.
"Happy Birthday, daddy!" She grins, shoving the paper into his hands.
"Did you make me this card?" Calum gasps, feeling touched by the scribbles and colors across the paper.
"Skye helped me. She helped me write my name!" Nika nods excitedly.
"Thank you, my little punk princess, I love it." He scoops her into a hug.
"Can we put it on the fridge?" Nika giggles.
"Of course. Come on." He stands and takes her little hand in his.
"If I'm meeting a bunch of people tonight do you mind if I go clean up a little bit?" Skye calls after him.
"Since I don't need to clean anything, I can definitely hang out with Nika. Go for it. People will be here around five."
"Thanks." She smiles before quietly leaving the room.

"Knock knock! I'm walking in." Ashton's loud voice booms through the house.
"Out back." Roy's yell comes from the kitchen situated between the people congregating around the patio and where Ashton's voice had come from.
Calum smiles as his best friend and KayKay appear in the doorway. "Welcome to the party."
"KAYKAY!" Nika squeals, jumping off the play set to run towards the dark haired woman.
"Ya, ya, we all know she likes our girls better than us." Ashton laughs, finding a seat.
"She might come say hi after she's done with KayKay. Michael got a hello, Luke did not..." Mitchy chuckles.
"She better say hi to uncle Ashy or she is gonna be in trouble." He smirks at the little girl in KayKay's arms.
"Hi, Ashy." She giggles, cuddling closer to KayKay.
"Sorry she likes the girls more. I have no control over that." Calum chuckles.
