Double update because I won't have time to update at all tomorrow, (we are moving) and our internet won't be set up until later in the morning or early afternoon Friday. I will update at some point Friday though!
——————"Are you sure you have everything for Nika?" Calum asks for the twentieth time as Skye sets the little girls luggage by the door.
"Calum, I got it. I know how to pack a bag for a week away. Just trust me a little bit. You gave me this job for a reason remember?" She laughs as she turns to face him.
"I know. I'm sorry. I just want to make sure my baby girl is taken care of." He sighs.
"It's okay. It's kind of cute how worried you get over her." Skye smiles.
"Flying is the worst with her. It makes my anxieties sky rocket. That's not helping anything either." He frowns, falling onto the couch with a soft thump.
"Why?" Skye's voice is kind as she sits down a small space away from him.
"Flying is where everything could go wrong. Where something could most easy happen that exposes Nika to the fans, to the media. Flying could turn our whole world upside down. Because we take the same airplane, and we fly commercial, and there are always people waiting wherever we are flying to see us. One wrong move and my baby girl could be fed to the wolves..." He fidgets with his fingers as he speaks up about it.
"I'm not going to let that happen, Calum. I promise. I know the plan. You guys get dropped off to do your fan stuff and get everyone focused on you and the band. Nika and I, along with Alex get dropped off at the next entrance into the terminal and check ourselves in and do security like everyday passengers. We wait in the same area as the rest of the world and board first when called. I'll get Nika situated with her tablet and Moana because it distracts her best. With headphones on and Hei Hei on the screen she won't notice you or the band board and sit a few rows in front of us. When we land you guys will be taken off the plane first for safety reasons and out of the terminal before Nika and I get off. Alex will be there to help me with anything Nika might need, and we exit the airport away from where your fans are lined up waiting for you. I got it all." Her soft hazel eyes meet his as she finishes, her hand resting encouragingly on his knee.
"It's not that I don't trust you, Skye..." He sighs heavily.
"I know. You just want to be the best dad you can to Nika, and you want to keep her safe. I promise, Calum, I will do everything in my power to keep her safe and secret."
"Thanks. Um, the car should be here soon. I'm going to get the punk princess up and in her travel clothes. Holler when they show up and I'll come help load our things."
"Try and take a couple deep breathes, Cal. Nika's going to be just fine." She calls after him with a smile as he heads around the end of the sofa towards the hallway.
"Thanks." He repeats.

As Skye had promised the flight goes well, nothing extraordinary or problematic happened. And other than a small tantrum from Nika that broke Calum's heart about halfway through the flight, arriving at their hotel in Sydney could not have gone any smoother.
"So, I always have a two room suite booked so I can have Nika in my room with me. I hope you don't mind." Calum comments to Skye as they reach the floor they'll be staying on.
"I already live with you, sharing a wall in a hotel shouldn't be too hard." She smiles, keeping a firm hand on Nika's as she tries to bolt down the long hallway.
"Nika usually would go back and forth with where she wanted to sleep, some nights beside me and some nights with Diane. I never made a big deal about it. But if you need your space I can make her share a bed with me the whole week."
