Skye throws her dirty clothing into the hamper with force, annoyed with herself for being annoyed with Calum. He was fucking joking, and she knows it. Why is it bugging her so much that he made a joke? He makes jokes with that type of humor all the time.

Tossing her empty suitcase into the closet she flops onto her bed, screaming into a pillow. She wanted to come back and jump him, now she doesn't even want to see him, except she still actually wants to jump his bones too.

Climbing off the bed again she finds some comfortable clothes and scurries across the hall to shower, hoping the hot water will help clear her mind. "Fuck." She grumbles as she pushes the leggings from her legs, finding her underwear stained with a small amount of red.

"Well my attitude makes more sense now." She sighs, tossing the ruined garment into the trash beside the toilet before stepping into the water, not in the mood to try and save them. Scrubbing soap into her hair she tries to talk down her hormones, realizing she has to apologize. Calum didn't deserve the snappy attitude she gave him, and she knows he will apologize if she doesn't. She was the one in the wrong, not him.

Slipping into a cropped hoodie and some shorts she takes time to blow dry her hair, continuing her stop being a hormonal bitch pep-talk as she does.

Making sure to take the trash out with her when she's used up every last second of time she can, emptying it and returning it before conceding to the fact that the only thing left to do is try to apologize.

"Have you seen Cal?" she asks Roy as she enters the kitchen, having not seen the tan man as she walked through the main floor of the house.

"Out back. But if you're going to be sensitive to a joke again I would ask you leave him alone." Roy almost smirks.

"Fuck off. I just want to apologize." She shoves his shoulder softly as she passes him, stepping out the door. Calum is sitting faced away from her, the lights from the back of the house illuminating his figure, a small trail of smoke rising slightly in the breeze.

"I hate that habit you know." Skye sighs, getting his attention as she rounds the pool towards him.

"Me too. But I managed to piss of the person I have been dying to see for days on end. And I pissed her off before I even kissed her hello, because I got too worried about someone getting another picture of me kissing her." He sighs, rolling the cigarette between his fingers.

"It wasn't your fault, Calum." She bites her lip softly, sitting beside him on the patio sofa.

"Felt like my fault."

"I was way too sensitive about a joke, Cal. I took it too personally. I know you, I know you were just making a laugh out of how that photo got uploaded."

"I just don't understand why you freaked out on me."

"It's a really lame excuse. So I'd rather just leave it at I'm sorry." She sighs.

"I'd still like an explanation." His eyes look hurt as he turns to face her.

After a long moment she sighs, "Hormones, Cal." She half laughs, "I was sad about leaving my family, and tired after a week packed full of fun, and... well, I got a visit from mother nature to top it all off. And my hormones said fuck you this month, Skye, you get to be a bitch this time. And unfortunately you got the bitchy end of the stick. I'm sorry."

"Really? That's why you suddenly seemed to not be acting like you?" He laughs.

"I'm sorry. I'm human and female. It happens some months." She groans, leaning forward into her hands.

"It's alright, babe, I forgive you. And your hormones." He chuckles, rubbing a hand over her back softly.

"Really?" She swings her head around to look at him with one eye while still hiding in her own lap.

"Really. I was so confused, and worried what you were thinking when you didn't take it as a joke. I don't know. I just didn't know what to say suddenly, afraid anything I said would just annoy you more..."

"I'm sorry, Cal. I really didn't mean to cause an argument over something dumb the second I got back from an amazing trip you sent me on. You paid so much money to give me a great week with my family, and I repaid you by coming home and getting pissed off at you over nothing."

"I can't really blame you too much, you have a pretty good excuse. But thanks for coming out here to tell me, and apologize. I really appreciate it."

"I was the one in the wrong. I needed to make it right."

"I just want you to know I'm so grateful you did." Calum smiles, dropping the cigarette and stomping it out with the ball of his foot.

"Me too. I feel better already." She sighs, sitting up finally.

"Me too." Calum wraps an arm around her, "Now come here, I think we missed out on something this afternoon." He smirks, tilting her chin until he can connect their lips.

"I missed you a whole fucking lot while I was home." Skye mumbles as they pull apart.

"I missed you too. More than I thought I would."

"Same. Hey, my brother asked a question that got me thinking a little bit. Can I, can I ask you something, Cal?" She suddenly seems a little nervous.

"Anything. What's worrying you, baby?" He frowns, tucking some of her hair behind her ear.

"What are we, Calum? What is this between us?"

"What do you mean?"

"Are we dating? Are we just sleeping together? Is it too soon to even be worrying about this kind of thing? My family kept calling you my boyfriend, but I wasn't sure if that was really correct since I had yet to use that title for you myself."

He can't help but laugh slightly, her eyes an adorable shade of soft and nervous. "I would love for you to call me your boyfriend, Skye. I really would. If you are okay with me calling you my girlfriend that is."

"I think I'd really, really like that." She suddenly grins.

"Me too. I didn't realize I needed to expressly say that we were together. I guess I just sort of assumed we both knew."

"I just get nervous, afraid I am more attached than the other person. I watched my mom be more attached to my dad than he was to her for a long time, and it's rubbed me the wrong way in my own relationships."

"I'm in, Skye, all in. For you, for us, for this." He mumbles, kissing her lips softly as he does.

"Me too." She giggles, kissing him again and again.

"I'm so glad to hear it." He cups her jaw, connecting their lips more heavily.

"What kind of bug or bird is making that weird clicking sound?" She laughs after a minute, pulling away.

"What clicking noise?" He half chuckles before his eyes go wide. "That sounds like a camera not an animal.
