"Nika Joy! Let's go!" Calum yells through the house.

"NO!" the stubborn three year old screams back.

"We are going to find Skye." He tries, attempting to give his hair a little bit of structure. The blonde curls that have grown out in quarantine are messy and more work than he cares for at the moment.

"Skye?" Nika suddenly appears beside him, grinning.

"Ya, I thought you might like that fact of the matter." He laughs, scooping her up into his arms.

"Go find Skye?" she giggles.

"Should we go find her?"

"Yes please!" Nika nods.

"I think so too." Calum sighs, grabbing his keys from the counter and stepping into the garage.

He sighs as he pulls out of the garage, seeing a couple extra cars parked along the street. The paparazzi sitting in them not even trying to hide as they scramble to pull their camera's out. They've been following him for weeks now. Ever since news of Nika was put out. Everyone wants the first paparazzi photo of her, seeing as all anyone has are the three photos he shared, and the one Nika uploaded of herself prior to his post.

The number of paparazzi followers he has went up again after someone caught him dropping Skye at the airport too. Apparently it is everyone's business if he wants to kiss the girl he's seeing goodbye. Grateful for the dark tint on his back windows, and Nika's obliviousness, Calum keeps his eyes on the road, not giving the cameras the satisfaction of capturing him giving them any kind of attention. Calum's shoulders only relax when he speeds up the on-ramp, joining the heavier traffic on the freeway. A place he can more easily lose anyone who might be trying to follow him.

Pulling into the airport about five minutes after Skye's plane was set to land he finds a spot along the curb near her terminal. Shooting her a text that they are waiting excitedly for her. His chest starts to fill with that anticipated excited feeling as he gets a text back that she's almost off the plane. A grin spreading uncontrollably across his face as he thinks about being able to see her again after so many days.

He bites his lower lip as he looks up, trying to conceal the goofy grin, not wanting to give off how stupidly infatuated he is by this girl. Not wanting to give anyone the satisfaction of catching that before he's ready to share it himself. Too many things in his life have been taken or exposed by others lately, how happy Skye makes him is his to share when he is ready. Watching the door seems to take forever, but eventually he sees her push through them, her dark hair pulled up in a messy bun, sweats and a tank top adorning her body. And yet she looks so effortlessly beautiful.

"Hey!" She grins, pulling the back door open to toss her bag in beside Nika.

"SKYE!" Nika squeals excitedly.

"Hi, punk princess." She grins back, sliding into the front seat, "Were you good for daddy while Skye was gone?"

"Yes." Nika says matter of fact.

"Mostly. Although she did confess to outing her own existence."

"The three year old broke into your phone, opened Instagram, and posted a photo of herself on it?" Skye laughs as she pulls the seat belt over her shoulder.

"Ya, someone taught her how to spell her name, and she spelled it out on my phone and it unlocked." He smirks over at her, "So really it's your fault, Skye."

"It is not!" She laughs.

"If you weren't such a good teacher to my daughter she wouldn't know her letters and how to spell her own name." he shrugs.

"Oh sorry, I thought that was my job. To teach her and help her learn." Skye rolls her eyes.

"If I was an asshole I could be angry you breached your NDA. I mean, you taught her how to expose herself to the world."

"Hey. It's as much your fault as mine. You should have known the first word she would learn to spell was her own name. Maybe come up with a harder passcode if you don't want the three year old in your phone." Her chest tightens slightly, almost offended by how far he is pushing this idea. Does he really think it's her fault Nika was outed?

Calum glances at her as he pulls away from the curb, annoyed himself that she is offended by his joke. Doesn't she know it's a joke, that he would never really be upset with her for teaching Nika about letters and spelling? The drive back to the house is awkward to say the least, somehow the joke turning into them both being unsure what to say to the other.

"Thanks for the trip again, Cal. It was really nice to spend some time with my family. I think I'm going to shower and get unpacked. I'll see you guys for dinner tonight." Skye sighs as they pull into the garage.

"Skye-" but she's out of the car without even a glance back.

"Fuck." Calum groans, leaning against the steering wheel.

"FUCK!" Nika yells with a giggle.

Calum groans again as she repeats his curse, "Do not use that word, Nika. It's a daddy word. Don't say it again or you will be in trouble." He sighs, sliding from his seat and helping her out of hers.

"What's up with, Skye?" Roy asks as Calum wanders into the house.

"Apparently I pissed her off with a joke. Hopefully by dinner she will be calmed down enough to talk about it. It wasn't on purpose." Calum grumbles, discarding of his keys and wallet into the dish on the counter.

"Yikes, home for less than an hour and you already pissed her off? Good luck with that one, Cal." Roy laughs, sliding the back door open and heading into the backyard.

"Seriously." Calum sighs.
