-Samantha-
"So did you guys kiss or not?" I say, it's so fun making people every once in awhile. But I will never be mean for no reason again, or at least I'll try.
"I'm sorry?" Davy says, he doesn't seem to like the topic. I laugh.
"Davy it's okay." Sadie "whispers" into his ear. And they think that I can't hear every word they're saying.
"Okay, if you don't care, I don't either." Davy says, I have to force myself not to sat "awww."
"We almost kissed, Sam. But then Davy's sister, Kate, came and took Davy home. I don't think she liked seeing me almost kiss her younger brother." Sadie says, and we all start laughing, including Davy. I need to leave so these two can kiss already! I think. I pretend to check my phone.
"Oh, dang it. I told mom that I'd help her with dinner. I have to go." I smile getting up, "But not too much fun." I give them that "you better kiss" look and leave. I can hear them burst into laughter as I close the door, but then it goes silent and I hurry downstairs to help mom.

"So, what's going on up there?" My mom asked as I walk into the kitchen.
"They were listening to music and talking to me." I answer, I'm not about to make it awkward for them.
"I just can't believe you talked me, me, into letting a boy sleepover. And with Sadie!"
"He's a nice boy mom." I say, "and Sadie deserves some more freedom."
"You make it sound like I keep her in a jail cell." She says, turning from peeling a potato. "As much as you may doubt it, I care about Samantha. I just don't want her being stupid running around with-with that Davy Anderson."
"Mom, you know what I meant, you haven't been exactly nice to her, just be nice to him, okay?"
"Okay" She sighs turning back to her potatoes. I walk up to help her. 'Do you think they'll need me to go get some condoms?" She asks, she starts laughing
"Mom!" I laugh too though. "They are not going to "do it." They've only known each other for two days!"
"I know, I know." She keeps laughing quietly to herself. I roll my eyes and help with potatoes.
