-Samantha-
I walk into the kitchen with Adam to see Davy embracing Sadie, Patricia watching. She sees us and leaves the room. I walk to Sadie and she lifts her head. Her cheeks and eyes are wet, she has tears running down her face and she's trembling. I don't say anything. I just join the hug. So does Adam. We are worried about her. She must be hurting to be in tears like this. I can feel her begin to go limp in between our hug. Davy tries to catch her before she falls. There's a dazed look in her eyes and then they close, as she passes out. Wait, didn't I see her pass out in her room earlier? When I was spying? Oh, Sadie. Did she eat at dinner? I hardly saw her touch her food. My eyes grow wide with worry.
"What- Sadie?" Davy says, setting her down on the ground. "Sadie!"
"What's wrong?" Adam asks, his voice is full of worry and concern. I just stand there with a blank expression on my face.
"Samantha? Do you know something about this?" Davy asks, his voice getting more and more desperate as he spoke. He is realizing that Sadie has passed out and, he doesn't know why.
"Did you guys see how much food she ate at dinner?" I ask staring at the sleeping Sadie.
"Is that what you're worried about? Sam, Sadie just passed out! Why?" Davy almost has tears in his eyes.
"I said, how much did she eat!?" I say, my voice rising.
"She didn't eat one potato," Adam shakes his head, with a quiet voice.
"Why does it matter how much she ate?" Davy is full of confused worry now. Then, a look of horror washes over his face, as if realizing why food is so important in this conversation. He glances up at me, I nod at him. "Is Sadie starving herself?" He yells. I don't answer, neither does Adam.
"Let's take her to her room." I say. Davy lifts her off the ground. I'm going to have to have a very serious talk with her when she wakes up, I think.
