-Sadie-
I just kissed Davy. In the hallway! I try to keep from squealing as I walk into my next class. Sam is in my class, already at her seat. She sees me and waves me over. She scans my face as I sit. It's sixth period, lunch is after fifth, we have a weird schedule.
"What'd you do?" She asks raising her eyebrows at me. I smile, remembering Davy's hands on the bare skin around my waist. A chill runs down my spine.
"Nothing." I say, giving her an innocent smile. She sighs, frowning.
"Sadie, I saw you and Davy making out in the hallway." She gives me a look. I look at her, biting my lip. Giving her a grin. I wish it was more than making out. Why did I just think that?
"Oh, right, oops." I turn to face the front of the classroom. I see Sam roll her eyes beside me. The bell rings and the teacher starts the lesson. I'm almost asleep ten minutes into class when someone waltzes into class, late. I sit up, shaking off my almost sleep. I shoulda known. It's Reid Cole.
"Care to explain why you were late, Mr. Cole?" The teacher, Mrs. Brenham, asks. She's really a nice teacher, always polite and kind.
"I don't care, actually." Reid says, sauntering to an open desk in the back of the class. He winks at me as he passes. He may be attractive, but he is so f***ing annoying. He's full of it. Idiot. He sits at the desk as Mrs. Brenham stands at her desk, in shock. I roll my eyes as Mrs. Brenham continues her lesson, she should've given him a detention, she's probably afraid to. I sit back and try to stay awake, I don't need a detention today.
The bell rings releasing us from our school day in prison, I grab my things. Samantha taps me on the shoulder,
"Hey, I'll catch you later, I was gonna meet up with Kate at the café." She says.
"Okay, I'll see you at home then, I'll tell Patricia where you are." I smile as she walks out the door ahead of me. I file out the door and toward my locker. I can hear "someone" following me, although I know who it is. What does he want? I don't need his trouble. Can't he get the hint? I reach my locker and open it, Reid stops and leans against the locker adjacent to mine. Guess he can't. I put my books in my bag and roll my eyes.
"What do you want Reid?" I ask, in a rude tone. From what I've heard from Davy. All Reid wants is trouble, this being no exception.
"Just being friendly." He says casually. I nod.
"Right." I say sarcastically. "I don't appreciate people following me to my locker to be friendly." I cock an eyebrow, still not looking at him. He just shrugs. Why is he even at school? He usually skips. I turn to leave, closing my locker. But he grabs my wrist.
"What're you-" But before I finish my question, he pulls me to him. He slips a hand around my waist and pulls me tighter to him. What the f*** is he doing?
"Get your hands off me, Reid!" I squirm to get out of his hold, he only tightens his grip. "What the f*** do you think you are doing?" He stares into my eyes, his green eyes blazing.
"Just being friendly," He grins, he pulls my chin up, forcing me to look at him. This could be considered sexual harassment and assault! Then why do I like it? Holy freaking crap, why'd I just think that? No. No. No. No.
"This isn't being friendly, this is pissing me off. Now let go!" I pull from him, he finally lets me go. What does he think he's doing?
"I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable." He smirks, that dangerous smile spreads across his face.
"Don't be sorry, just don't f***ing touch me again!" I storm off down the hall. Davy had said we could meet at his house later. I need to tell him to keep his cousin in check. If he pulls a stunt like that again.........he'll regret it. I'll beat him up before Davy can. I storm out of the school and start to walk home. I don't feel like talking to anyone right now.
♥
I finally manage to get my heart rate back to normal. I've been walking for ten minutes. You'd think I would've calmed down sooner. That Reid. I could just- who does he think he is? He shows up one day and thinks he owns the school. No. Not gonna happen. Next time he tries something I'll- I'll report him! Then I'll beat let Davy beat him up. I can already tell that he and Davy aren't exactly buddies. And I don't plan on being his buddy either. I just still can't believe what he did that bitc-
"Hey, Sadie! I waited for you, you said you'd meet me at your house." Davy walks up to me as I approach my house.
"Ya sorry, I uh- uh I got held up and decided to walk." I smile and bite my lip.
"No worries." He smiles and sneaks a hand around my waist and kisses my cheek. "You're here now." I laugh.
"So why'd you want me to meet you anyway?" I ask, honestly curious.
"Just I- well- um – actually-" He starts, stuttering.
"Don't ruin the surprise!" Samantha comes running out of the house.
"What surprise?" I cock an eyebrow at both of them.
"Nothing." They say in sync.
"O-kaaay then. Aside from that being totally creepy, seriously what surprise?" I pester.
"Seriously, why can't we just tell her now, you know surprises stress her out." Davy says to Sam. She blows a piece of hair off her forehead.
"Finneeeee." She says in defeat. "But I get to tell her."
"Tell me what?" I ask, These two better get to the point or I'm going inside. I think. I shoot Davy a look, he just shrugs and motions to Sam.
"We got invited to a party this Friday!" She squeals. Davy rolls his eyes.
"Um- I." I hate parties. "Who's party?" I roll my eyes. Watch it be the chess clubs annual fall get-together.
"Trevor's." She says nonchalantly.
"Trevor's?" I ask in disbelief. "No, no way. I am not going to Trevor's party."
"Oh come on-" Samantha starts.
"I doubt Davy wants to go." I turn to him and give him a pouty face.
"Actually, I'm looking forward to it." He grins, I groan.
"Ugh." I say. Why me.
"Come on Sadie, it'll be fun." Sam says, tugging on my arm.
"My answer is final-"
"Don't you want to get a pretty dress to wear?" I perk up at the question. How dare Sam use something like that against me, she knows I can't say no to shopping. I roll my eyes.
"Fine, I'll go." I roll my eyes as Samantha squeals at her victory and Davy plants a kiss on my cheek, I blush.
