-Sadie-

"Dad, can I talk to you in kitchen, now?" I ask. My dad is acting like the complete a**hole that he is. But he gets up and follows me to the kitchen. I can see Davy relax as we leave. I stop at the counter and my Dad speaks first,

"F*** buddy, ? Really, Sadie?" He says, he's actin all mad, like he cares. He doesn't. I ignore what he said, he always ignored me anyway.

"Dad, you need to quit being a f***ing d*ck to Davy!" I yell, who cares if they hear us arguing.

"You need to watch your mouth." He says, but his voice seems small compared to mine.

"Well you need to remember that you didn't give a f*** about my life until this guy showed up. It's a little late to be the protective father! I don't care what your opinion is, so can you please cut it out and f*** off!" I yell, I hate my Dad, he needs to get that he wasn't any better than my mother.

"Fine, you want me to go? I'll go." He walks over to the alcohol cabinet and opens it, grabbing his whiskey. He doesn't even bother to take a cup or any of his things and he walks out the back door. I stand there in shock. I walk back to the table. I force a smile and eat.

"What the heck happened in there?" Davy asks, back in my room. "Where on earth did he go?"

"I told him to f*** off, and he did." I say shrugging. I'm happy he left. "He just took his bottle of whiskey and left."

"I'm sorry-" He starts. And he puts a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't be." I say. "I literally hate my Dad. He doesn't care about me or anyone, not even Patricia."

"Ya, I could tell." He says. "What time is it?"

"Nine." I say, looking at my phone. "I think I'll put on my PJ's now."

"Okay, where-?"

"You can change in here, I'll go into my bathroom." I say. I open a drawer in my dresser and grab my PJ's. I walk into my bathroom. I quickly change, wash my face, and brush my teeth. I showered earlier today after we went swimming. I guess I'll go to bathroom while I'm in here.

"Hey Sadie?" Davy says from the other side of the door.

"Ya?"

"You're phone's ringing. It's your Dad." He says. I can hear the seriousness of his voice.

"Answer it, put it on speaker and tell him to f*** off." I say. I come out of the bathroom with I grin. I am pleased with myself. Davy's in his PJ's and he's answering the phone.

"Sadie?" My Dad says.

"She told you to f*** off." Davy says. I stifle a laugh.

"Who is this? Where's Sadie?" My Dad seems distressed, good. "Davy!" My Dad knew, but he was furious that Davy was answering my phone for me.

"Ya, buddy, she obviously doesn't want to talk to you, she told you to f*** off. Do her a favor and don't come back, if you wanna talk to her, call her later, we're kinda busy with something right now."

"You can't-" my Dad starts, but Davy hangs up.

"Thank you for that," I say. I burst out laughing.

"It seemed like you needed me to do that." He smiled.

"I did." I walk to him and he puts his arms around me. I bury my head in his t-shirt. My head suddenly snaps up.

"I never asks where your parents were?" I ask looking up a his blue eyes.

"They're at my Aunt's house helping her, my has been really sick lately." He says, "They're coming back tomorrow."

"I'm sorry. That's awful." I say.

"It's okay, I'm kinda excited because they're supposed to bring my two cousins with them, Jessica and Caleb." He says.

"Will I get to meet them?" I say, smiling up at him.

"My cousins or my parents?" He asks, looking down at me with a smirk.

"Both." I smile. I lay my head back on his chest. We stand there for a little while. Finally he says,

"I didn't know that you cussed." He says, and I can imagine the grin on his face.

"Hey I cuss, you idiot." I say, my head shooting up at him.

"I just never heard you before today, I always thought you were a-"

"Good girl?" I ask, I playfully shove him away. He laughs.

"Well..."

"Davy!" I say, "I hate labels, I hate being called that." I turn away from him. I hate labels. I hate being called a good girl. I think. I feel Davy come up from behind and hug me. He lifts me off the ground, while I'm squealing. I break away and run from him. He chases me, laughing, but his eyes are wild, blazing.

"How long are you two gonna do that before you start making out?" I hear a voice from the door. I thought it might be Sam, but it's Adam, great. I roll my eyes.

"Oh, you wanted a show?" I ask.

"You're sick, Sadie, just sick." Adam says, I stick my tongue out at him as he walks away rolling his eyes. I start laughing and Davy joins me.

"How long are we gonna keep chasing each other until we start making out?" He asks, still laughing. But he raises one eyebrow above his wide blue eyes.

"You're serious?" I ask, "How about we watch a movie first." He eyes me.

"You didn't say no to my making out offer?"

"Nope, but don't blow it, f*** buddy." I laugh as his eyes widen. I pull him out of my room and down to our TV room. Patricia smiles at us as I pull him through the kitchen. I push him into the room and he falls on the couch. He laughs.

"What movie are we watching ?" He asks.
