February was always a special month.
You were finally getting into the groove of your new year's resolutions or given them up, valentine's day was here, and oh, my birthday.
I actually had a pretty decent Valentine's Day. Yeah, I had classes and everything but it was still a good day.
Alena and I surprised each other with a cute little basket our favorite candy and other little knick-knacks we found at Target.
"Are you ready to celebrate the big nineteen this weekend?" she asked me as we both got ready for class
I nodded, "It's definitely gonna be fun."
For my birthday, we were going to go out and go bar hopping to every bar and club we could possibly get into. Ideally, I would want a homecooked meal and to just chill but hey! It was college and we only had four years here.
"For sure." Alena said to me, "Alright have a good day at class and I'll see you later. Unless you and Bradley are going out on the town tonight."
I shook my head, "Nah, I have a pretty big test tomorrow so I'm gonna go study for that later."
"Good idea, so sophisticated and nineteen year oldish." Alena joked around as I grabbed my things
I grinned, "I'll see you later, 'Lena."
Class was class.
I paid attention in classes that I knew were on my weaker side but the classes that were a breeze, I usually online shopped.
Gotta love that good ivy league education.
After class, I went to the cafe and just sat to catch up on homework. It was nice to enjoy a few moments outside that cramped dorm.
"Boo!" someone shouted behind me with their hands on my shoulders
I turned around, "It's not Halloween."
Bradley shrugged, "It's still fun to see you squirm."
I made a face, "Oh really?"
He smirked, "Of course whenever you're ready."
Bradley put his bookbag down on the bench and then pulled out a heart-shaped Hershey's, Ferrero Rocher chocolates, and a Lululemon gift card.
"Awe, B! You really didn't have to." I looked up at him
He shrugged, "I'm gonna have to win you over somehow. Do you like the candy?"
Bradley looked so excited and I didn't know how to break it to him that I was allergic to tree nuts and couldn't have the Ferrero Rochers.
"Yeah! It's just that I'm allergic to tree nuts to hazelnut is kinda a no go." I told him, "Alena loves them though!"
"Oh shit." he laughed off, "I should've asked you."
I held up the Lululemon gift card, "This is gonna come in handy though. You know how much I love Lulu."
"That's practically all you wear." he grinned as I stood in front of him wearing Lulu leggings
"Very true." I agreed with him, "I wish we could do something tonight but I have that huge test tomorrow for calculus."
He shook his head, "I understand plus we have this weekend to celebrate your birthday and all. I'll walk you back to your dorm if that's where you're headed."
I nodded, "Yeah that would be good."
Bradley walked me back to my dorm like a true gentleman even though it was still broad daylight. We just talked about our day and I think I was finally starting to come around to him. We were dating but not official and I think I was at a point that I was ready to make it official.
