Parker always promised me that he would give me a life that I always dreamt about. He was a man of his word.

Annie and I were the luckiest girls in the world to be able to call him my husband and to her Dad.

We vacationed in beautiful places, we had family dinners, and there was so much love in our house that it was crazy.

Annie got the opportunity of a lifetime when she was only three years old. She had the opportunity to be a flower girl at the royal wedding of the century? How? Alena ended up marrying the prince of England.

She would forever have the best fun fact for the rest of her life.

Plus to be able to attend the royal wedding was an experience that most people never got.

After Alena's wedding, we took two weeks off from work to explore our way through Europe. We spent a couple of days in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Switzerland, and finished off in Capri.

We took a lot of pictures and I was happy that we would have these memories to look back on. Plus it was our first long family vacation.

That August, Parker and I got the surprise of our lives.

"There's two?" my jaw dropped as I looked at the sonogram machine. "Are you sure?"

The technician nodded. "Fraternal twins though. Do you see the separate sacks?"

I looked over at Parker. "Oh my gosh."

I think he was in more shock than I was. He couldn't even get a word out.

But the shock didn't last too long when we sliced open both of our sex revel cakes to see that they were both blue.

"Oh my gosh!" Parker screamed in excitement as he picked me up.

I looked over at Annie who had her arms crossed because she wanted two baby sisters.

"I wanted a sister, mommy!" she pouted as Parker picked her up.

"If mommy had a girl then you wouldn't be my only little princess." he kissed her cheek and threw her in the air. "And that wouldn't be fun, would it?"

I think Parker's little statement made her feel better unless we ever had another girl.

"Daddy, I'm always going to be your little princess." she hugged Parker and my heart melted.

I watched his entire face go soft. "Damn right."

Then Annie shot up and turned her head towards me. "Daddy said a bad word!"

I grinned. "I think Daddy owes you a new Barbie doll for saying that bad word."

Annie smiled as she looked at Parker. "Me too."

Anastasia had been an only child for four years and I worried about how the transition would be not only for her but for Parker and me. We were jumping from one kid to three kids.

Which I expected to be a lot since I hadn't had a newborn in forever.

In a way Annie got her wish of having a baby sister granted since Alena found out she was expecting. I couldn't wait to raise our kids together and who knows, maybe they would end up together in the long run.

All of my worries about the newborn phase melted away on the morning of April 11th. Parker and I welcomed Nathaniel Colton Fitzgerald and Samuel Ashton Fitzgerald. We were calling them Cole and Sam/Sammy for short but Cole was seven minutes older than Sammy.

They completely filled my heart and made our family feel complete. Annie was absolutely enthralled with her little brother despite her protests.

That July, Alena had her little girl named Aiyla. I couldn't wait for them to come to the states so I could meet my goddaughter and she could meet my kids.

I loved taking family pictures and hanging them up in the house. We only got one where everyone was smiling but that one meant the world to me.

"Look at the life we created together." I pointed out to Parker as we stood in the doorway of the twins' room who were still asleep and Anastasia was at school.

"This is everything I've ever wanted." Parker kissed my cheek. "I love you, Ellie. I got your favorite breakfast Tacos in the kitchen."

I closed the door softly. "I love you. I'm going to grab my phone and then we can eat. I just want to make sure that I'm not missing any work."

"Gotcha." Parker agreed.

I picked up my phone, I had two missed calls from Alena. Which was very unusual.

"Lainey, are you ok?" I spoke immediately.

"They called Aiyla slurs at school again." she wept. "We've had enough, Pey. We're coming back to California. Archie is stepping down from the throne."

My jaw dropped. "Forreal this time?"

"Yes for real this time." she confirmed. "I just wanted to let you know before you saw it everywhere."

"Do you need a hotel room? Groceries? Anything, Lainey." I asked her.

"No, not right now." she turned down. "We're going to stay at my parents' house for a couple of days or maybe a week. We don't know what we're going to do yet."

"I'm always here." I reminded her.

That moment was a turning point for Lainey and me. We lived down the street from each other, raised our kids together, and when the time was right we made the move back to New York City together about six years later.

Parker and I were ready to be back in the bustling city (maybe we bustled too hard - hence the fact that Stella Juliet Fitzgerald was born). I loved being back in the headquarters building and in the city where Parker and I's relationship really took off.

I stared out of the window of Parker's office.

"The best view in the city." he came up behind me. "Not this view but you."

I turned to face him and put my arms around him. "We did it."

He nodded his head. "We fucking did it."
