Normally for my birthday, Parker got me white roses and some sort of gift. For my twenty-third things were a little different.
He still got me white roses but this year we closed on our first home together.
We bought a house that was in Beverly Hills and it had four bedrooms and five bathrooms. There was a big yard that had a playset in it, a gardening area, and a window seat in the master bedroom.
It was a small feature but it was something that I always wanted growing up.
I loved the location of the house. Parker and I's commute to work went from an hour to thirty minutes, we were five minutes away from my parents, and twenty minutes away from Caroline and Dennis.
It was fun to decorate Annie's room and help Parker put together a playset. We were also taking up gardening which was fun.
Then March came along.
The month for wedding bells to ring.
I'd been working around the clock to make sure everything was planned perfectly.
Annie had the cutest white dress, the venue was perfect, I was just feeling really good feeling about this month.
The weekend before my wedding, I went to Palm Springs with all of my bridesmaids. It was nice just to have a weekend to let go and drink and have fun.
But I was even more excited for our wedding weekend and for a week in Turks and Caicos.
Friday night was our wedding rehearsal.
It was my first time seeing the venue all decorated and ready for the ceremony. It was exactly how I wanted it with lots of greenery, Christmas lights, and white roses. It was the perfect mix of timeless and trendy.
My wedding planners outdid themselves.
"Do you love it?" Paris asked me.
I spun around slowly with Annie in my arms. "I love it! Don't you?"
"It's perfect." my mom agreed.
"I love the sign!" Lydia pointed out.
There was a clear acrylic sign that had a wood frame that read:
Fitzgerald
Parker + Elizabeth
March 6thI put my arm around London. "It was her idea. She found it on Etsy and I knew had to get it."
"Just wait until you see the reception space." Lydia clapped her hands together. "It's gorgeous in there. We finished the photo wall last night."
"Mind if I interrupt?" Parker walked into the space.
My mom shook her head. "Nope. I'll take my beautiful Sage and give you two some time alone. Don't forget that we're starting rehearsals at four not four fifteen, four. Which is in ten minutes."
I handed off Sage and watch my mom and sister walk away.
I looked at Parker and he held my hands.
"Hi, baby." I smiled.
"Hi Miss Keller." he grinned. "The last day I can call you that."
Parker looked around. "This is beautiful. I can't wait to see that dress."
"Dresses." I corrected them. "The ceremony dress is kind of hard to dance in."
We walked up to the altar and looked at all the chairs. One of the chairs took my breath away.
