Walking the streets of New York City with a giant balloon bouquet and birthday presents was not an easy task but seeing the look on Parker's face made it all worth it.
"Happy birthday baby!" I exclaimed as he stood up from his couch
"Look at you!" he beamed from ear to ear, "You must love me to do all of this on your busiest day of the week."
I gave him a kiss, "You did cook and everything so I had to go all out some way or another."
"How was class today?" he asked me as I sat everything down on the counter
"Long plus I couldn't stop thinking about you." I looked up at him, "You're always running through my mind. I always wonder if Parker is doing alright or if he's stressed or if he's thinking about me."
"With all of those pictures of you in my office, I'm thinking about you a lot." he said back, "Everyone in office teases me about it. They always say 'oh he's in love' or that I can't get my work done because I'm thinking about Elizabeth."
I wrinkled my nose, "They call me Elizabeth?"
"They're all old so you know how that goes. Some of them still call me William Junior or little William." he explained to me
I faked gagged, "Do you like the cake though?"
The cake was caramelized vanilla with a picture of Parker when he was about thirteen years old with half-naked girls on the Las Vegas Strip. It was one of my all-time favorite pictures of him.
"I fucking love it." he laughed, "I still can't believe my mom let me take a picture with them."
"You probably jacked off to it for weeks." I joked around
He gave me a look, "I cannot confirm or deny that."
"Boys are disgusting." I rolled my eyes
"Better get used to it for when we have our son." Parker put his hands on my shoulders as I looked at what he prepared for dinner
Roasted chicken, broccoli, and rolls. It all looked so good.
"Our son?" I questioned him after I realized what he said
He nodded his head and moved his hands away, "Yeah. We can eat on the terrace. I have a little heater set up and everything."
"That sounds good to me." I agreed with him
I fixed our plates and Parker poured us both a glass of wine.
We sat on the terrace that had such a beautiful view of the city. Even though the lights and view were gorgeous nothing compared to the man in front of me.
"I've been thinking a lot." I began as Alena's voice played in my head
She'd been telling me for days to tell Parker about me graduating next December. I wanted to but apart of me was scared to see his reaction.
"Yeah?" he looked at me as I nodded, "About what?"
"Like the future." I answered his question, "I'm taking classes in the summer to graduate a semester early."
"As in next December?" he clarified
I nodded my head, "I don't know what I'm going to do after that. Maybe travel?"
"I think I know a guy with a lot of hotels that can make it happen." Parker winked at me
"Do you now?" I went along with it
"Oh yeah, I'll have him give you a call." he put his wine glass back down, "Are you ready to go back home for Thanksgiving?"
Tough subject.
