There was something about the west coast that always did Parker well.

The moment he got back from his business trip there was a big shift in his energy. He cared way more, we talked more, he helped me with school, overall he reminded me of why I fell in love with him in the first place.

July was a really good month for both Parker and me.

The business was going well for him, college was going amazing for me, and all was well in the baby department.

Parker really put his words into action.

He helped me out with school, ran my errands when I couldn't, and we had our weekly dinners every Sunday.

My bedroom door opened and Parker stood there with Target bags.

"I got everything you needed." he spoke as he put the bags down on the floor

Parker bent down and gave me a kiss, "How did the quiz go?"

"I got an A. I'm getting ahead on homework now." my face lit up, "Thanks for helping me with flashcards."

He sat down on the floor and began to unpack everything on my grocery list. This was the man who was afraid that he wouldn't be a good dad. Hell, he was a great boyfriend. He was gonna be an even better dad.

"I'm proud of you, Ellie. Are you ready for LA? How have your parents been about everything?" he asked me

"Uh I mean things are better. My mom asks me about school a lot but she started sending me baby shower ideas and baby clothes. My dad asks about appointments and everything. Lydia asks about everything, you know how she is." I answered his question

"I think it'll be better once we talk face to face." Parker calmed me down, "I think everything will change when they actually get to hold them."

I closed my laptop, "Hopefully. They wanted to go grab lunch when we got back so that'll be fun."

"Do you think it's gonna change things for you? You know, where you choose to live and everything." I asked him, "I know you said you would take two weeks off after the baby was born but that still only fourteen days."

Parker shrugged, "I try to visualize it but it's hard when you don't have any kids. We'll see."

I stood up and stretched, "I'll spend the night at your place tonight since it's closer to the doctor's office, and then we can go straight to the airport."

Parker didn't say anything, he just stared at me.

I noticed he wasn't looking me in the eyes but he was staring at my body.

"You know I felt them move twice in the past week." I broke the silence

"It's crazy how much your stomach has grown in the past two weeks." he looked me in the eyes

I looked in the mirror, "It does look less like a beer belly. I think the skin-tight tank top and four slices of pizza that I had for dinner helps."

"I can't believe we're having a baby together." Parker beamed as he put his hand on my stomach, "I'm also very thankful for how much we've grown together in the past few weeks."

I sat down and wrapped my arms around him, "I love you so much."

Parker helped me finishing packing and then we headed off to his place. We picked up some pizza along the way and ate it while we watched Aquamarine, my favorite childhood movie.

"What do you think it is?" Parker asked me, "I feel like you have a motherly instinct."

I shrugged, "I have my suspicions but I hate being wrong. What kind of names do you like?"
