Six months.
I couldn't believe it had been six whole months that Anastasia had been in my life. My daughter was my light, my joy, ultimately that girl was my everything.
Now that she was in Parker and I's life, I couldn't imagine life without her.
The tiny little girl that was once only five pounds and a little bit thing was now sitting up by herself, trying to talk, and honestly, I really liked this phase of her life.
Annie had so much personality and that reminded me a lot of her Dad.
I held her in my arms as we looked out of the front window.
"Who is that Annie?" I asked her as I pointed to the black Porsche that was pulling into the driveway.
She looked so confused at first until the door opened and out walked a man with dark hair that was holding a box.
I looked at her. "Is that daddy?"
"Ah! Ah! Ah!" she repeated over and over again.
Parker and I thought of her 'ahs' as a way for her to show her happiness but she said it the most when Parker was around.
Parker waved before he unlocked the door and walked it into the house.
"My girls!" Parker exclaimed.
Annie immediately began reaching for Parker so he put the box down and I handed him Annie.
'Hi, my baby girl!" Parker beamed as he held her above his head and brought her closer to him. "I missed you today."
I opened the box to see half a cake with pink polka dots and 1/2 in fondant on the top.
"She has you wrapped around her finger, P." I smiled as I looked up at him. "This is the cutest though."
He opened up his arm. "Get over here. I missed you too."
I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him quickly. "How was work?"
"Just one meeting and a lot of paperwork. How was your day?" he asked me as I stroked his cheek.
"It went well," I informed him. "I made some spaghetti for dinner. I'm going out with Alena, Zara, and Lilia tonight."
Parker nodded. "That sounds fun just like old times. I remember when you three used to crash our parties."
"Crash them? Please. I couldn't crash something that my brother was a co-host of." I scoffed as I picked up the box and brought it to the kitchen.
"Nah you definitely crashed one that Asher was not a co-host of. Trust me, I remember." Parker bought up.
I leaned on the island and looked at him. "Elaborate."
"August 31st. It was the weekend that I threw that party before we went back to school. It was my senior year, your junior year, and you and your friends came to my party. Asher jetted off to the beach about an hour in." he reminded me. "How do I remember this? We played beer pong together and won."
I let out a small laugh as the memories came flooding back.
"That was the night that Skylar got so mad at me because I wanted you. I was stupid sick from drinking so much but you took care of me." I smiled at I looked at him.
"And you picked the shortest shorts that your sister had so you could see my ass." I gently punched his arm.
He snickered. "See how mean your mommy is to daddy? I just wanted to be kind."
I looked at Annie. "Your daddy is full of poop."
"Alright, I'm gonna go take a shower and get ready." I told him as I grabbed a piece of garlic bread.
