I thought flying with a five-month-old would be hell on Earth. Especially since our flight was five hours long but Parker managed to get a non-stop flight so we wouldn't be running terminal to terminal with a baby.
For the most part, Annie was really well behaved. It was probably because we had a really early morning flight and she was still on her own sleeping schedule.
I couldn't wait to be back in the city. I felt like I left a huge part of my heart there.
New York City was the biggest teacher in my life. That city chewed me up and spit me out but it taught me so much about myself.
I wouldn't be the person I am today without New York.
Even though I kinda ran away from the city, it would always hold a special place in my heart. Maybe Parker and I would find ourselves back there when our kids were older and could handle themselves better.
But for now, I was happy in LA.
When we walked into Parker's place, it was almost like we never left. It still looked the same, it even smelt the same but he had his housekeeper get some things for Annie and make the guest bedroom her room.
"Welcome to your second home, Stasia." Parker held her as we walked in.
I looked around with a smile. "This is nice. I kind of missed this."
Parker nodded his head.
"This is the room mommy and daddy made you in." he added as we walked into our bedroom to put our bags down.
I hit his arm. "Parker!"
He kissed my cheek. "I love you."
"You can go feed her and I'll unpack." I decided.
"Are you still going to get dinner with Alena tomorrow?" Parker asked me.
I nodded my head. "Yeah. Graduation and the lunch tomorrow, girls day with my friends, and then we have a Parker, Peyton, and Annie day."
"I'm gonna take her to the office with me on Monday." Parker announced proudly. "We're gonna have so much fun at the office."
I raised an eyebrow. "Is your mom going to make an appearance?"
"Probably." he responded. "Why?"
"She wants to see her in that pink lace Gucci dress. She won't stop asking me about that." I brought up.
Parker made a face. "I hate that dress and it's too hot for long sleeves. She'll probably get it dirty anyway so I'll tell her that we left it at home."
"Ok." I began to open up the suitcases.
"We'll be in the kitchen." Parker said to me before he walked out of the room.
I loved organizing and unpacking. Something about it was so therapeutic. I laid out everyone's outfits for my graduation tomorrow and what I planned on wearing tonight.
I don't know how Parker managed to make Annie go to sleep but he did it.
"What are your plans for tonight?" I asked Parker as he watched me do my makeup.
"Jack Clayton is driving from Philadelphia and we're just going to hang out. He's probably going to crash on the couch tonight." he responded.
I looked over at Parker. "I hope he brought a suit for my graduation."
"I'm sure he did and even if he didn't we're around the same size." Parker assured me. "You look fucking gorgeous."
I looked in the mirror. I was wearing a chambray halter top, mom jeans, and some white mules. Breastfeeding actually did my boobs some good.
