(That night. CASPER and GABE hang out in CASPERs room, playing video games.)

HYPNOS: Is that a girl? Are you in here with a girl? Oh. Hi Gabe.

GABE: Hey, Mr. Hypnos.

HYPNOS: I was going to order pizza. If theres something you boys want—

CASPER: Did you get dressed today? Like at all?

HYPNOS: Oh... They didnt need me at the office. So I worked from home.

CASPER: Most people wear pants at home.

HYPNOS: Thats why most people...arent your father. (beat) Good talk.

(He exits. GABE recognizes the awkwardness of the moment.)

GABE: How is he doing?

CASPER: How does it look?

GABE: You heard from her?

CASPER: No. And who cares? Its like, Mom moved on, why cant he?

GABE: Hey—

CASPER: I dont want that to be my future! Tim said his hook-ups at the Payless, what if we go there ourselves? Just to see if his story checks out?

GABE: And if it does? Will you be too cool for... video games?

CASPER: No way.
