CASPER: What was that about?
ALEX: Im sorry, but that boy does not see you as relationship material.
CASPER: I know! Thats why I got you!
ALEX: And youre sure you want him? There are many males at this school. Im accessing footage from the boys basketball practice. Its very impressive.
CASPER: I want Shawn.
ALEX: Youre sure about that? (CASPER holds firm) Very well.
CASPER: So how can I get him?
ALEX: You cant.
CASPER: What?
ALEX: ...Yet. Becoming the kind of man who can impress Shawn requires more than working out a few bugs. Youre going to need to reboot your reputation. Supercharge your social standing. You need to upgrade.
CASPER: Huh?
ALEX: You need to get popular. Tear ducts activate.
(Suddenly CASPER starts sobbing uncontrollably. ARIA enters.)
ARIA: Casper! Ive been looking for you.
CASPER: (through tears) Im sorry, I dont know why Im crying.
ARIA: I do.
CASPER: You do?
ARIA: And I totally understand. Theyre saying it was a freak hockey accident.
CASPER: What are you talking about?
ARIA: Oh my god, you dont know! Eminems dead!
CASPER: Eminems DEAD!?
ARIA: I mean, I was never into him because he was like super old and kinda mean to women, but I know YOU liked him so...
(She continues talking as CASPER turns to his SQUIP.)
CASPER: Did you know this was going to happen?
ALEX: Of course not.
CASPER: So its a coincidence you told me to wear this shirt?
ALEX: Of course not.
CASPER: Wait, what? Did you kill Eminem?!?
ALEX: Nooooo...t exactly. My quantum processor allows me to envision probable futures. While I did not know that, today, Eminem would be impaled by that rogue hockey stick, I was aware of the probability of a...favorable outcome.
CASPER: Favorable for WHO??
(Suddenly, ARIA is touching CASPER.)
ARIA: Its okay, Casper. You dont have to be alone right now.
ALEX: You need to get popular, heres a popular girl who likes you. You need to go where she leads.
(ARIA leads CASPER away.)
ARIA: This is my favorite place behind the school.
Upgrade
ARIA: Being here with you right now
Our future is so clear,
Our union is so near
(ALEX takes ARIAs place.)
