The days went on and on, and our little pinkette continued going to the Academy regardless of the fact that she was always bullied by the girls in her class.
Every day she would get bullied for her abnormal pink hair or her huge forehead which she always hid under her outgrown pink coloured bangs.
'I am all alone.'
Sakura was afraid, she was an outcast.
'Someone help me please.'
She felt alone in this world.
No one cared for her, is what she thought. Maybe she was right, she was all alone in this world.
'Why will anyone help someone like you?'
Her mind taunted her every day, whispers her own mind would say.
'How tragic.'
One day when everyone was having fun she hid away from everyone as she sat on the grass around the beautiful lake, her head leaned downwards resting on her knees as she silently grieved.
At that time someone tapped on her shoulder, thinking that they were the girls who made fun of her, she quickly backed away in fear without looking up, hiding her face in her knees.
When she didn't hear any noise or taunts filled with mockery, she looked up all she saw were baby blue eyes looking at her, the girl with those eyes was the same age as her, she had beautiful blonde hair.
Sakura frowned deeply as the girl continued to examine her from head to toe.
"Hey, you're name is Sakura right?" The girl tapped on her forehead and Sakura flinched when she heard her say, "They're right, your forehead is huge!"
She then extended her hand and Sakura warily looked at the hand extended towards her before grasping it softly, letting the girl pull her upwards to stand.
"My name is Ino Yamanaka!" The girl with blonde hair and baby blue eyes was introduced.
"You know if you keep hiding your forehead they'll keep on teasing you," Ino advised Sakura as she tapped her forehead. Sakura gently lifted the bangs which she used to cover her large forehead.
"What should I do?" Sakura question Ino and then confusedly looked at Ino as Ino dragged Sakura across the village. In front of them was the Yamanaka Flower shop, Ino smiled at Sakura and then both of them entered.
Ino then looked at the table and saw a beautiful red ribbon laid on it. She grabbed it and walked towards Sakura.
"Turn around, please!" Ino said to Sakura.
Sakura hesitantly turned around as she was told and then felt Ino wrap something on her head. Ino then turned Sakura around as she happily clapped her hands.
"See you look so cute!" She said and then brought out a mirror so that Sakura could see her own reflection of her face.
"I-Is it really me?" Sakura asked hesitantly as she touched the bangs which were now pulled back by the red ribbon on her head and tied a cute bow over it. Then saw that even though her huge forehead was exposed she looked rather cute.
Sakura smiled and glomed over Ino, "Thank you so much, Ino-chan!" Sakura thanked her as she hugged Ino. Ino then hugged her back, "This flower shop is owned by my family so tell me which of these do you want, Sakura-chan?" Ino asked as she pointed towards all the flower pots which were presented in the shop.
"Umm, is it really okay?" Sakura asked Ino who nodded happily, Sakura took a look at the various flowers she saw around her. The place was bright and full of colour then she saw something which caught her eye.
"That one!" Sakura pointed at the flower which was set on the corner table and then Ino quickly went to grab it and then gave it to Sakura.
Sakura looked at the flower pot in her hand, "What is this flower called?" Sakura asked Ino to which Ino replied.
"It's called chrysanthemum, its beautiful isn't it?"
Sakura happily nodded her head in agreement, her emerald green eyes never leaving the flower pot she had choosen.
"Do you know what it means?" Ino asked Sakura and when she saw Sakura shaking her head she answered, "Chrysanthemums generally symbolize longevity, fidelity, joy and optimism. It's awesome isn't it?!"
"Thank you again, Ino-chan!" The little girl with pink hair replied, her beautiful green eyes filled with joy for the first time since her mother's death. She finally made a friend!
Too bad the little girls who were celebrating their little act of friendship didn't know the other meaning of Chrysanthemum: death.
